I thought at first that this thread was about the late Tommy McDonald, a great receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles back when I was a bit younger, and still watched professional football.
However, I now realize it's not about him.

Some of you know me and most don't. I have been writing songs since I was a turd, ( i have library of congress cred, and get royalty pay) although I have been a pipefitter for over 30 years and these days i have settled into carpentry.
I have met some amazing people in my travels. I played in bars when I was 16. I am a multi-instrumentalist, just mostly strings. Country, blues, rock.
Anyways, I found this dude Tom McDonald recently. I have never been into rap, but his lyrics are astute. I hope you listen and give him a like. I don't know him and I don't think he knows me. Thanks. God's Blessings on Y'all.

Being said, I love Tom.
My feelings are like this;
“What does it take to make you scream in pain, Mr mclain?”
McLain: “ Play rap music?”
Tom is over the top.
Like another poster stated, he’s not all rap. I like that he is independent, no record label. Hard to do. He covers his own butt.
He used to be a wrestler, so he knows self promotion.
Sharp and a good guy. Wish I knew him.
Fighter (apparently a true story) and Ghost (my love song to my wife) are assuredly not rap. Correct.
I’ve shared his music with my husband and he just can’t see past his appearance. It’s disappointing. On the other hand, a conservative co worker I see on occasion loves him.
Scars isn’t really either
been a big fan of his since 2020 when I heard ‘i hate hip hop’ ♪♫
