Biden appeared to rub his head after bumping it on the helicopter's doorframe while exiting the aircraft, according to a White House pool report:

M1 landed at 7:04 pm, and the president exited a few minutes later. He bumped his head on the doorframe while exiting the helicopter but otherwise appeared spry, wearing a blue suit with a matching tie and trademark aviators. Smiling, waving, and gingerly approaching the pool, he joked I got sandbagged in reference to the fall earlier today. Then he skipped once, holding his smile, and kept walking. No response to shouted questions about whether he was okay after the fall and what he and former President Obama discussed over the phone.
He smiled it off while walking toward reporters then said: "I got sandbagged," referencing his on-stage tumble hours earlier that sparked national headlines.

Audiobook I’m listening to is autobio of SNL’s Dick Ebersol. It said Chase became a star doing those Ford bits and one week Ron Nessen, press secretary, was the host and they had a good natured Ford pre record some one line bits. Later I think Chase met up with Ford, etc.
Chase has had many jerk moments and there was a legendary conflict he had with Bill Murray during one SNL show. It’s mentioned at tbe start of the book Wild And Crazy Guys (about comedians of that era)
