The football helmet has evolved a lot over the years, with new technology constantly being incorporated to make it safer, to make it more comfortable and to make it more advanced.
The latest development to football helmets has been to add air conditioning, with the Louisiana State University football team to use these new models in the 2023 NCAA season.

Reason #2 I installed a sizeable solar system on the house. With some of us it ain’t about saving the world, it’s about being more self-reliant so our families don’t have to worry as much about stupid Dim energy policies.
Did you not see my post number 4? The helmets would be good for folks who are sick who can’t handle heat well, and who may be subject to air conditioner bans In Their states if liberals get their way. The helmets will be a quick way to get body Temps down
Fortunately, most of the states in the south (read: need A/C the most) are red states. So if the liberals get their way on banning A/C they'd have to do it at the federal level. I guess they could do that with a sky high tax on freon or something.
Lithium ion batteries worn on the head in a “new technology”?
What will happen when one of them burst into flames?
Lol- but what an impact it had when players collided
i spent a week in Vermont in the summer and of course it had to be the HOTTEST week anybody could remember up there and of course a LOT of places including my hotel room had no AC.
When i asked the replies were “Oh, We don’t do AC up here in Vermont.
I had to go see Casino Royale at a movie theater just to cool down for a couple of hours..
A swamp cooler for the noggin!
But I don’t see any solar panels so they must be powered by chicom rare earth batteries and recharged by coal.
They won’t need ‘em when they go to the flag football format anyway.....and that’s coming as sure as biden’s gonna fall down again.
That’s smart- where we live though it’s “mostly cloudy” a lot, little wind in summer (although in winter it seems to zlways pick up a lot lol).
We have a small window air conditioner , but mainly use a whole house fan which draws air throughout the house and up into the attic, and cools the house rapidly if it’s cooler at night. But every now and again, the heat gets too much, especially if combined with humidity, which we get pretty frequently.
Would be nice to have it run off solar panels instead of relying on grid though.
That is the tactic folks in North country do who haven’t got ac- they go out to eat, or movie or grocery store to cool off.
I got stranded out in provo Utah once, and it was 107 while I was there most days. “ bUT it was a dry heat” lol. Still though, I had to walk a few miles to different places as I was arranging transportation home, and the tar was so hot it burned blisters on the soles of my feet. I dunno how folks live in such heat, but then again, they likely don’t know how we live in such humid climates lol.
I can’t believe the leftists have allowed them to keep their team name, considering . . .

They'll call them "The Flaming Tigers".
Max McGee is spinning in his grave.
I keep waiting for the libs and black folks in my town to finally realize the revolutionary war figure the city is named after owned multiple plantations, had as many as 300 slaves in his lifetime and offered bonuses for captured run away slaves to be whipped prior to being returned.......it’s gonna be epic.
Bear Bryant too for that matter.
The best headlamps are lithium battery operated, buy quality batteries.
Is this going to lead to global warming...or global cooling...or environmental pollution? Make Joe Biden test one 24/7 for the summer.
Seems like they could use a pellet gun co2 cartridge filled with liquid nitrogen and have it slowly bleed off into coils in the helmet.
In my late teens in SoCal, I'd head to the golf course on 110° days, and I'd have the course to myself. 'Twas wonderful!
