i spent a week in Vermont in the summer and of course it had to be the HOTTEST week anybody could remember up there and of course a LOT of places including my hotel room had no AC.
When i asked the replies were “Oh, We don’t do AC up here in Vermont.
I had to go see Casino Royale at a movie theater just to cool down for a couple of hours..
That is the tactic folks in North country do who haven’t got ac- they go out to eat, or movie or grocery store to cool off.
I got stranded out in provo Utah once, and it was 107 while I was there most days. “ bUT it was a dry heat” lol. Still though, I had to walk a few miles to different places as I was arranging transportation home, and the tar was so hot it burned blisters on the soles of my feet. I dunno how folks live in such heat, but then again, they likely don’t know how we live in such humid climates lol.
