I am fighting a millipede invasion, if you have any ideas. I got some raid perimeter yesterday and it works great. I swept up lots of little dead bodies so far. But what I really want is for them to quit coming in the basement! And the pool. They must be like lemmings, they follow the leader into the pool for some reason.

I am. Here is a good video taken by a couple called “Traveling while Black”. who came from the West Side of the state to find out what it was like over here on the East side.
What this video doesn’t show is in some of the foothills houses are being built further and further up the hills. Like million dollar houses. Also about 80 miles away are wheat fields. So if the sage brush and wheat fields catch on fire it will spread fast.
You will see the couple hiking one of the hills that a group of people started an organization and bought the land to preserve it so people can enjoy the view. They are now in the process of connecting this hill to others with paths.
Unfortunately the Tri-Cities has a dark spot in their history where Blacks were not allowed to be in Kennewick after dark and absolutely could not live there.

The young one, Audrey, rescued a baby Oriole from the jaws of death (one of the dogs) a few weeks ago. She has faithfully been getting bugs and mushing them up (barf) and feeding the little bird, along with grape jelly, peanut butter and water. The little thing is getting bigger and bigger, and he can fly now, but likes to sit on her shoulder and snuggle in her hair lol. Cutest thing ever. I spend 5 minutes on the phone this morning talking to the bird. She said he wanted to say hi, so she puts him on. He chirps away, so, naturally, I have to talk to him lol. Funny thing was, when I spoke (no, I didn’t chirp), he was quiet, then he responded. The things ya do.....

It may not drop to the ground but if you have what is called a low ceiling weather report it fills up in that air space. Like a fire in a house. It totally fills a room with smoke.
