This is even worse than "a first world problem" as only in America could this even be a problem and only in the US would we put the government in charge of making it worse.

One of my staff is a naturalized citizen who came from Cuba. Subject of Alligators came up and I asked her if they had many in Cuba (not sure if they had caymans instead, or what not). She laughed and said, “No, there are some protected by the government, but they are, how do you say - food? So not many to find in the wild.”

I was there about the same time, and you are correct they were everywhere, but BEAUTIFUL. I have never seen chickens so beautiful before, they looked like exotic birds you might see in the Amazon or something

Easy fix is to just offer a bounty for each chicken. They will be rounded up pronto. $5 a chicken dead or alive and every chicken on that island will be caught in month.

Well, one post suggests that these chickens aren’t very good and the Hawaiians don’t eat them; so there are things ‘made of meat’ that we don’t eat.

(Though I think as recently as 10 years ago there were still human cannibals found in the world...)

Come to The Tampa Bay area. Everything from peacocks, alligators and parrots. Snakes, iguanas and walking catfish.

Then go to Ybor and get a dose of the roosters on your leg. Nasty little suckers will leave a mark.

When I lived in HI in the mid-’90s, the story was that the chickens became feral because of Hurricane Iniki in ‘92. They all got loose, procreated, and now they’re everywhere.
