As temperatures heat up, an Arizona family has a warning for other parents about the dangers of hot surfaces like pavement and concrete.

It comes after their son suffered burns to the bottom of his feet.

The pavement heats up quickly, and pets and children are particularly vulnerable when it comes to getting burned on the bottoms of their feet.

Eighteen-month-old Mason is walking softly on his feet after they were bandaged.

These could be people who never had a dog before the pandemic, when lots of folks were lonely because of the isolation and suddenly wanted a dog.

Stupid people move here without considering the consequences. It’s hot in summer you must make your kids wear shoes. Regardless of what time of year it is your kids should always being wearing shoes outside because if your lucky enough to not have scorpions and rattlesnakes carry your children off to be consumed they can still step on them.

My neighborhood Facebook page is full of outsiders complaining that the neighborhood needs to be doused in poison to kill the scorpions and snakes. I tell them you needs frogs and gopher snakes to kill the rattlers and scorpions. Do they listen... he’ll no they accuse me of dismissing the neighborhood children’s safety and triggered them by saying nothing could be done.

Hot Concrete? When we lived in MOAB UTAH, 1955, we constantly walked downtown barefoot! No problems till we tried to cross the asphalt road way! We danced all the way across it and was relieved to get on the cooler concrete. That asphalt was super hot!
