AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas state police will not discipline any more of its officers over the Uvalde school shooting that left 19 children and two teachers dead as heavily armed agents hesitated to confront the lone gunman, a spokesperson confirmed Friday. The decision is a turning point nearly nine months after one of the worst school attacks in U.S. history, and the widespread outrage over the officers who allowed more than 70 minutes to go by before stopping the massacre. It also raises new questions about how many of the nearly 400 law enforcement personnel who were at Robb Elementary School last May might face discipline. They came from a constellation of agencies in South Texas, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Border Patrol and local police. Two DPS officers have been fired, and one of them is appealing his termination. In total, five officers in Texas who were on the scene that day are known to have either been fired or resigned. State police had 91 officers on the scene, more than any other law enforcement agency. Travis Considine, a spokesman for the department, confirmed Friday that four of seven officers placed under internal review after the shooting were cleared of wrongdoing. DPS Director Steve McCraw told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday that no others would face discipline.

The shame of cowardice will follow them forever.
Cops are not your friends. Cops only friends are pension managers.
The particular shame and disgrace goes to those who held back the dedicated officers and parents who wanted to rush the killer.
While we definitely need them, many cops and firemen are pricks.
Really, next time someone is looking to kick your ass, call a drug dealer. “Cops are not your friends” sure, sure.
Blue wall crap
I think it depends on the cop
Or calling a criminal for help actually
When seconds matter, the cops very well may hide for over an hour while children die.
Law enforcement stood by while privileged terrorist burned cities and stole elections.
The corner drug deal is at least honest about who he is.
If the pigs are not going to protect everyone equally (They don't) and be willing to put themselves in danger to serve the public they should be abolished and replaced by vigilante committees
“I think it depends on the cop”
Well I don’t know, there were about 400 of them on the scene in Uvlade, did any single one of them do any good at all?
Those people should all resign, I know I would, and I would hang my head in shame.
I would guess the future suicide rate will be fairly high in this group.
If you were a cop, you would not resign. You'd do your 20 (years) and retire with your 50 (% of your salary re pension).
That's their holy grail.
The only thing I need a cop for is to call the morgue to pick up the body. Most likely, they will attempt to disarm and arrest me. Cops are tax collectors for the police state, and their primary job, after raising revenue is to protect TPTB.
