If it was postoperative, shouldn’t he be suing the surgeon?

A sigh of annoyance can be heard from Wal-Mart, who is sued roughly once EVERY DAY, most of which are bogus slip-and-falls. And Wal-Mart has a no-settlement policy, so they have a battalion of lawyers, and cameras in their stores are ubiquitous.
And their lawyers are very practiced in such lawsuits. Since usually those thinking to get rich quick from a settlement are poor, it is not worth their while to counter-sue, and even their litigious lawyers are small fry not worth the effort.

$3.35 mil...if he worked to 62, that would be more than a quarter of a million for 14 years.
Don't seem right.

I don’t do chains often, but if I have to choose, I like Culver’s burgers. My fave is always my hubby’s pecan-smoked ones.

$3.35 million for lost earnings? What job did he do?
He was 46 at the time of the suit. Figure 20 years of work. I guess he was clearing $175,000 per year.

I was curious so I looked him up on Linked in. Turns out he had been an Operations Manager for a place called PTE Systems in Hialeah. https://ptestrand.com/

What, is he paralyzed now? Never able to work again?
I bet he’s sitting out on his yacht, soaking up the rays.

Maybe not, it’s Broward county.
To: FamiliarFace
Well then, that means he would have to work for 4,962 years to earn that kind of money.

My professional and liability insurance skyrocketed two years ago. I asked my agent what was going on.
“We’ve been working together 30 years now - right? In all that time the biggest payout I was involved with was $800,000 for a death. In the last few years I have had payouts of over $1 million for broken bones!”

I, too, am wondering what law firm represented the plaintiff.
