Unfortunately, lacking a New Jersey meteorite finder permit the precious rock was confiscated by the state and will be used by the governor as a door stop at his beach house.

It would be interesting to see how much the homeowner could sell it...or auction it...for.

Scientists are still trying to determine the space rock's origin. It was initially thought that the meteorite came from the Eta Aquarid meteor shower, which peaks in early May. The annual celestial show is the result of Earth passing through the debris shed by Halley's Comet as it whizzes past our planet every 76 years. Halley's Comet must have the same bladder as me! At least I don't whizz on someone's floor.

Is it wrong I was hoping it crashed into Christie's home and was rooting for the meteorite?

They charge them 150% tax.
But then they will conceded to gracefully get it from the family free of charge.

The gravitational field surrounding Chris Christie pulled in another one. He’s really got to lay off the donuts.

How do they know it is 4.6 billion years old? Just because the earth *might* be that old doesn’t guarantee that objects from space are the same age.
