'They're Marxist': Oklahoma's top education official wages war against teachers unions
Fox News ^ | 5/21/23 | Kendall Tietz

Oklahoma's top education official is waging a war on teachers unions that he said will completely overhaul the state's education system.

Ryan Walters, Oklahoma's State Superintendent, recently sparked backlash from his Democratic opponents when he called teacher unions "terrorist organizations" during a state congressional hearing earlier this month. The meeting ended after intense questioning from Democrats who objected to many of his claims.

"They're not advocating for kids," he told Fox News Digital. "They're not advocating for teachers really, either. All they're doing is lining their pocketbooks so that union leadership gets richer and richer, and they continue to fight to keep education down. I am absolutely not going to negotiate with folks that take on terrorist means to get what they want, which is destruction of our schools."

Walters has been an outspoken critic of teachers unions and their role in keeping schools closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as what he says is an outsized focus on politics instead of education.

"The teachers union advocated for school shutdowns," he said. "They're advocating for critical race theory to be taught in their classrooms. They're advocating for radical gender theory to be in our classrooms. Here in Oklahoma they're fighting us on school choice."

"I will never back down to the teachers unions," he added. "I will never back down to their leadership, which continues to push this radical agenda and terrorize the classroom. I will continue to stand with parents, teachers and kids across the state."

He said union leaders have asked him to stop discussing their organizations because they are losing membership as a result, but he said his end goal is to hold them accountable.

"They utilize power through the money that they take from teachers paychecks, and they push people behind the scenes," he added.

When you realize who the enemy is, and what they want, solutions become clear. This is a war, and we need to stop pretending the Rats want America to survive.

The hidden force that took over the schools, took over the curriculum, promoted bilingual teachers and the teaching of the new immigrant’s history of their abandoned cultures and nations while turning American history into condemnation, and changed and chose the textbooks, therefore shaping our nation and its voters and our culture and our morals.

Allowing teachers to unionize, liberalized and nationalized education and the schools against the local parents and community.

Government unions should not exist. They are monopolies, the tend to corruption, they are wasteful and they ultimately put government against the interests of the people.

Republicans need to stop being cowards about this, and make it a clear platform position

Do like Wisconsin did under Republican gov Scott Walker: prohibit making paying union dues a condition of employment.

When Walker got the state to pass this one thing, where unions now had to get teachers to send them checks for dues, teachers left the unions.

This is war, and we need to realize democrats want us dead. That’s their end game. First they take our guns. Then they take our children. Then they take our lives. And our Repugnant leaders seem ok with that.

The grave harm fostered on the American people is a consequence of the 1960 fraudulent Presidential election. JFK legalized and empowered public employee unions. BTW the fraud also made possible the Immigration Act of 1965 that forever divided America. Fraudulent elections have dire consequences for the American nation.

Even Franklin D. Roosevelt opposed government employee unions.

Same in Indiana, but we did it differently. We gave teachers protection against lawsuits. Many teachers joined the union for the free legal services. When the State passed a law providing state funded legal services if a teacher was sued, membership dropped rapidly.

“The hidden force that took over the schools...”

So-called conservatives who sit on their fat asses and don’t vote in schoolboard elections, don’t attend schoolboard meetings and don’t run for seats on local schoolboards.

They’re not hidden at all. They live next door to you.

Over the years the most distasteful part of school board elections here in Pennsylvania has been the fake people that run for the boards claiming to be “Conservative” and or “Christian” then bending over while the agenda of the Left went forward the spending and taxes increased.

Last Tuesday the ballots here in Pennsylvania in our 503 school districts filled with hundreds if not a thousand or more names who appear to be breaking with the hypocrisy of past candidates.

If they can beat the Democrat candidates in November they take office in December.

I worked in schools the Liberal Administration could crack down on a person like me at any time so union legal protection was always a consideration in my membership.
