I'm an old fart. There was a commercial in the 1970s or 1980s with a couple of Nuns, and one ordered Angel Food cake. The other Nun said "oh, c'mon sister, live a little." So she changed her order to Devil's Food cake.
I can't for the life of me remember what the commercial was for, but I do remember that vignette.

I remember that commercial!
As an aside, when I was growing up, the only thing we were allowed to request on our birthdays was what kind of cake or pie we would like to have for dessert. Most every time I chose Devil’s food cake, though sometimes I picked strawberry cake.
