Sri Lanka is posed to decriminalize homosexuality.
The Dolawatta bill presently in Sri Lanka’s parliament seeks to change the country’s penal code to create rights even for children as young as 16 years old to privately and publicly express behavior related homosexuality, such as grossly unnatural carnal intercourse.
This change in law, as with the attempts to legalize the killing of the unborn through abortion, are driven by Western governments and their representatives in the United Nations, specifically the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and the UN Human Rights Council (HRC).
This bill, once enacted, will allow homosexuals and bisexuals to express their orientation in their public conduct, and it will become a violation of their rights, and illegal for citizens of good conscience, to object to such acts, even when they occur in the presence of children.
Further, such behavior, states of life, and the associated ideology will become normalized in the culture, through the media and educational material provided in schools for our children. So-called “marriages” between people of the same sex, or of mixed groups will proceed, and those living in such arrangements will adopt innocent children and form “families.”
Legalized transgenderism will enable men certified as women to enter female bathrooms and women’s other private spaces and compete with women legally in sport and for social and employment opportunities set aside for them…

Of all of the things going on in the world. The state department in US government finds time for this crap, and pushing it on Sri Lanka. Last I checked they didn’t have fertilizer or rice. But let’s really work hard to make sure they can take it up the ass.
I live in a very conservative high income area. We have some gays here. They are productive and good members of the community and totally accepted in our community. One is a very good friend of mine. He is a conservative Republican. The consensus is what they do in the personal life is their damn business.
Our media tends to focus on the radical gays and groomers and present this as the norm. It is not.
Oddly in our school system we have had two incidences of exploitation of an underage high school student. One male and one female and both straight. They suffered from great stupidity. They were fired and ruined as they should have been. What the media shows as reality is a fringe group.
PS
Me = Straight, hyperconservative, libertarian, and above all a strict constitutional believer.
brought to them by the same people who are starving them to death...
a famous author who liked young boys used to live in that country, so one does wonder if the law was ever enforced.
SriLankha is Buddhist, but has a lot of Christian and Muslim Tamils in some areas, but they need financial help so might be doing this to please the USA state department who is pushing this on a lot of countries.
No one wants to say this, but this is one reason that people might prefer China to the USA: China lies and cheats but hey, they don’t want you to offer your kids to rich tourists for sex.
Most Asian countries have lots of gays and no one cares.
But these laws are not about people who are quiet and well behaved: it is about sex tourism. Locals know this, and is why they oppose the USA pushing such laws on them.
