Yup —in the ‘50s to early ‘60s we only got chocolate milk on Fridays —regular milk rest of the time, no exceptions. But we kids were active, had recess a couple of times during the school day and we didn’t sit on the couch and watch TV when we got home.
I don’t feel bad about this for the kids. Now, if they would allow them recess to get some exercise and fresh air.
