The House passed a sweeping border package Thursday that Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) said was the “strongest” legislation on the issue to ever come to the House floor for a vote.
Emmer, speaking in an interview in his Capitol Hill office on Friday, detailed to Breitbart News how an eleventh-hour huddle with roughly three dozen members, just one day prior to the bill vote, was, in part, what led to the Secure the Border Act narrowly passing with two Republican defectors and no Democrat support.

They had a President that campaigned on securing the border. They turned their collective backs to him and forced him to find other ways to do it. And he still did it.
I guess the "strongest legislation to ever come to the floor of the House" only happens when they know it has ZERO chance of making it through the Senate.
All theater. At some point, maybe the 6th Congressional District in Minnesota will wake up. Doubtful, but there's always a chance.

It’s the circle of politics aka the USA circling down the drain. There is no opposition party to the dems. The dems are above the law too. Repubs are just window dressing to appease conservatives.
What a joke! This bill does not include finishing a wall on the 2000 mile border, it does not include deporting instead of catch and release, it does not include deporting illegals already in the US, it does not exclude illegal aliens from work and services. It does starting to diverting the IRS staff money to border staff.

The bill probably is only a list of suggested phrases that should go into a ‘strongly worded letter’ that asks the invader to return home. The letter will be given to each invader as they check into a local Hilton.
