Russian authorities will launch construction of a village outside Moscow for conservative-minded Americans and Canadians next year, the state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported Thursday.
Russia has for years positioned itself as a bastion of "traditional" values in contrast with Western liberalism as its relations with the West have deteriorated over its 2014 annexation of Crimea and 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Timur Beslangurov, a migration lawyer at Moscow’s VISTA Foreign Business Support, claimed that “around 200 families” wish to emigrate to Russia for “ideological reasons.”
“The reason is propaganda of radical values: Today they have 70 genders, and who knows what will come next,” RIA Novosti quoted Beslangurov as saying, echoing President Vladimir Putin’s frequently deployed grievances against Western countries’ comparative gender freedom.
“Many normal people emigrate and are considering Russia, but they’re faced with huge bureaucratic problems with Russia’s migration law,” he said.
He said the Moscow region administration has greenlit the construction of the expat village and that it will be financed by the relocating families.
The lawyer further claimed without offering evidence that “tens of thousands” of foreigners without Russian roots would like to move to Russia for similar ideological reasons.
The construction of a migrant village for Americans and Canadians has not yet been publicly announced by officials.
Russia, which has ranked among the worst countries for expats in recent years, experienced a major downturn in tourism and other foreign arrivals after the invasion of Ukraine.
Still, Federal Security Service (FSB) data recorded an uptick in visits for tourism, work, study and business to Russia in early 2023.

I know Hungry might be an interesting location for people looking for a European state to call home. I’m interested what other countries. I don’t know about the Czech Republic or Serbia or even Poland. I originally thought Poland would be high on the list but they are having issues with their historical views and the decisions on today.
I often wonder why a country wouldn’t look at the US constitution and say - that’s working, let’s do that. Then actively try to recruit migrants that match that philosophy/mindset and build up from there.
I know it’s a crazy thought since our own country seems to want to destroy the constitution and the concepts of inalienable rights.

Normal people look at the US and feel horror.
A crazy woman just made up a rape story, can’t even say the year it happened, and a court ordered a man to pay her $5,000,000. The state legislature changed the statute of limitations to target the man.

Agreed but that isn’t the constitution. That’s the progressives insanity that wants to destroy the concepts laid out in the constitution.
The side note is once (big if) the crazy progress get their way those people are the first ones a communist/socialist totalitarian government get rid of. They are of no value. The deaths of all the misfit nuts are used to intimidate the rest of productive society. History is full of the examples of the misfits getting killed once their dream governments gain control. They need them to get into power but the drag on benefits, labor, … make them dead weight. In addition they are also the first to complain that wasn’t the utopian vision they had. Idiots never see that history is full of their failed utopias.
However the idea of individual liberty has barely been achieved. It was in this country for bursts of time but even here it’s gets whacked often through mob rules or elites vision of a better liberty. Oh well it was fun while it lasted but it appears the world wants to commit suicide.
Russia and China have different ideas of who should be in charge of the New World Order. They also see wokeism as blasphemy to conventional Marxism-Leninism.

“They” are not in agreement on Communism. Red China is the only one pushing that agenda. Red China is funding “Wokeism” in order to bring about the complete collapse of the United States, and using their puppets in the White House and Congress to help facilitate that. Russia, conversely, has no intention of going back to Communism or the anti-Christian “Woke” agenda.
