Trump vs. DeSantis 2024
None | 5/13/2023 | Ebshumidors

I’ve been watching the Trump vs. DeSantis showdown here and have a few questions. I voted for Trump twice, worked the phones and poll watched for him and am convinced he was the only one for regular Americans. He had the right policies for us. I have two concerns. He is supposedly a germaphobe and I think that influenced his decisions regarding Covid. He also didn’t have a team behind him. Many stabbed him in the back. How would it be different if he was elected for another term?

Regarding Desantis, I watched some of his Iowa stuff and he seems to say the right things. He may even be to the right of Trump on some issues. He also seems to have a good argument about what he’s done in Florida. He doesn’t have Trump’s suburban housewife baggage (who my wife of 31 yrs asked how many times Trump’s been married - she voted for him and we’re not voting for a Pope) but I’m sure they’ll come up with something to hang on him. I know that many have said that he’s beholden to big donors.

I’m on team fight it out for the nomination, After that, I’m on team how do you fix the rig and how do you win I haven’t heard any of that from anyone.

In a head to head match, if DeSantis joins the race, he will win. Trump is a boorish bully, and while he did accomplish success with the Supreme Court, across-the-board otherwise his efforts were mixed in often turned around before the ink dried. I am tired of the Personal drama, the poor choices he’s made, he and his mail order wife can enjoy retirement.

So, why would DeSantis run? He’s being paid off by the GOP establishment.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Absolutely true. He is obviously the stalking horse of the Uniparty of criminal “Aristocrats” who are soiling their britches in fear that this outsider will get elected, expose their lawlessness and possibly get them locked up. RD can be bought and controlled, and the ripoff of the peasants can continue without fear of exposure. PAST TIME FOR THE PEASANTS TO WAKE THE HELL UP!

The Democrats don’t fear DeSantis one bit

If DeSantis wins the primary the Dems will tear into him like a piñata. The kid gloves will come off immediately. If you believe that the Trump-only crowd are rough on Ron, the Democrats will be even worse.

Good grief. You do know this is it for trump. He won’t get a fourth shot. Oh maybe he will since he’ll only be 82.

Other than the Laura Loomer types and a few others, MAGA will vote for DeSantis.

Why not just call us a basket of deplorables? In the end, desantis will do what the uniparty tells him to do. It makes no difference if it's desantis, jeb or biden doing the deep state's bidding, America loses. With Trump, we will MAGA!

So, you’re saying Trump won’t be allowed to win so conservative should bend the knee and go back to supporting candidates like W and Romney?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Possibly without realizing it, but that is certainly the reality of the matter IMHO.

He sure as hell did in Florida. Palm and broward are proof. He’s done more for election integrity then trump could ever dream of.

Teddy Roosevelt retired AFTER serving TWO CONSECUTIVE presidential terms! Then he decided that he should have another one, not liking his handpicked successor.

Ergo, NOT THE SAME THING AT ALL!

And so ends the history lesson for now; since I shan't go into the others you named, since they are just as irrelevant.

Which candidate was among the first to re-open from COVID lockdowns? Which one attacked him for it? Which candidate created “15 Days to Slow the Spread,” then unleashed Fauci and Birx on the country?

Less than one out of four Republicans are now “Trump Only” voters. And I also see that more GOP voters are “Never Trump” than “Only Trump.”

He don’t win. You got it. What he will do is alienate millions more than he already has. Personally, I’m pretty much done with professional lawyer politicians. The entire country should be as well. Much more of these types and the country goes belly up. Btw, since there is certainly no win for this guy, the motives behind this have become obvious.

DeSantis is a short man with a dull personality. He wouldn’t win the general election

Which candidate sided with Disney and Bud Light?

Who has to lie in order to promote their candidate? The answer is you.

If DeSantis goes against Trump and wins the nomination, he will lose the MAGA vote.

Honestly though... why? Is he not conservative enough for MAGA, or was MAGA a personality cult from the start? Who is the natural inheritor of MAGA if not DeSantis if this is an ideological movement and not a personality cult?

Here's what I have seen since 2020: - both Georgia senators are democrat because of Trump. He even had a chance to fix that in 2022, and still lost.

- Pennsylvania elected a f-ing vegetable instead of Trump's choice in the senate. If a different strategy had been pursued, the senate would be in R hands. - Across the House of Representatives, GOP candidates lost where they should have won because Trump led an "election day"-only strategy. If not for ballot harvesting in California, Florida, and New York, the House would have been lost.

"Only Trump" has to overcome all of this. It hates the concept of justifying itself, and here we are.

I’ll lay out all the reasons why I’ve never thought much of Ron DeSantis as a presidential candidate:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I could have posted your seven points and not changed a single word because you perfectly covered every reason why I will crawl over a field of broken glass if necessary to help ensure that President Trump wins his THIRD consecutive presidential election! Now I expect to be chastised as a Trump “cultist” which is fine because I take that as a compliment!

Uncharismatic people don’t win elections. Look at the last 5 or 6 elections - except 2020 because as everyone knows Biden didn’t “win” it (yes even Democrats know that).

DeSantis is a hero to his base which is a small subset of Republican voters, but outside of that a stiff wooden boring person like him will lose nationally in a landslide. I am all for Trump in 2024. But after Trump we need new blood, someone not from the party, and we may just have one.

But in 2028? Oh how they love him then.

Not true, desantis has already burned that bridge. He will never be POTUS now.
