A lot of this is just virtue signaling for DUmmies.
I very rarely see a mask in my area anymore. Not on any ethnicities.
Weird how clinging to those nasty things seems to be regional.
😷😷😷😂😂😂. Well, I asked at the VA yesterday if the masks requirements would be going away on 5/11. The tech chuckled and said nope! Most of the folks agree it’s a waste. If they work in an office none rqd. In the hallways and you work in an office, you’re okay. Patients not in a room? 😷. Stoopidness continues. 🤔
the good news is that those who still wear them will become darwin award recipients- mask wearing is possibly being linked to brain damage, and since they all started off on the low end of the intelligence bar, they will become a self limiting group soon enough and we wont have to suffer their insufferable self-righteous wokeness-
Mask was required at my optometrist office a few weeks ago. Even Uber has dropped the mask requirement for some time now. 😷😂
Needless to say I still didn’t like wearing it.
Lotta people still mask in my area but they don’t call it”Behind the redwood curtain” for nothing. They love the propaganda and their little Namaste virtue signaling. COEXIST baby.
When I travel to the liberal city next door, I still see even bicyclists masked up in their little blue paper masks as they pedal away breaking most of the traffic laws while they do so. I also see pedestrians walking down the sidewalks, all alone but dutifully masked as if virus droplets are awaiting to attack them on the next corner.
The pandemic broke a lot of people on the left. It gave many the power to dictate to others, while some found it so handy to have others dictate to them their daily actions and what they were allowed or not allowed to do. I do not think the country will ever recover from the harm caused over the past three years. There was a great shift in the view of many as to individuality and personal freedom.
Or maybe they just recognize that crowded cities are petri dishes. Or the realize the city smells. Japanese wear masks all the time. Stop fretting about what other people do that don’t effect you. Their lives, their choices.
Nobody is wearing masks anymore. You see one here and there and that’s fine. In the middle of flu season I’ve been known to wear one to Costco because its a Petri dish. Of course then I eat the free samples and God knows who’s hands have been in that Bush’s dip before mine. 😏
Here in Chicago they won’t either. Most, at least near me, really think that it will protect them - how depressing.
Worse, the pharmacy I work at is offering boosters (again) and a woman I did intake for was receiving shot #5. She was over 70, and under the impression that this was a new formulation. It’s not. It’s the same bivalent from winter, and most everyone thinks it’s new. As I’m a technician, I’m not allowed to counsel on meds, at least injections, until I’m vaccine-certified.
That just... It bothers me. Feels like fraud, but it’s like that everywhere unless the patient asks.
I’m in and out of medical facilities on a regular basis, unfortunately. Friday a week ago and this past Monday was the first time in months that anyone has said anything about me not wearing my chin strap properly. I gave them an earful. But it’s corporate policy, they say. I am lead to believe a good chunk of America has no independent thinking and embrace policies, good, bad or indifferent just because they have been conditioned to do so. It’s sickening.
I live near Asheville NC. There are idiots that drive around alone in their cars with those stupid masks on. Go over to east Tenn. and dont see any.
I don’t care if other people want to wear a mask or not as long as I’m not required to. I don’t see the point of getting ourselves worked up about other people’s personal choices when Bidenflation is still eating away at our economy and limiting irreversible surgeries to adults is seen as “controversial”.
Federal hospitals like Indian health services still insisting on masks. Albuquerque VA hospital also insists on mask wearing. No need for it.
Great title!
Just yesterday my wife and I were contemplating the term “mask hysteria“
“Maskerade” is much better!
