Pretty much my take. Well written, BTW.
GM survived the Vega...
If what you said had any bearing, Alissa Heinerscheid would have been promoted instead of replaced.
Subsidized-by-Soros companies like InBev and their Victory Swill will not last forever, no matter how much market manipulation they engage in.
You are the problem.
The choice for Anheuser-Busch is between the zealot trans groups or conservatives.
Right now, we are the stronger and louder voice.
Anheuser-Busch donates big to the GOP. That is why Don Jr came out to call for an end to the boycott.
This is a culture war. We do not win it by telling ourselves that we did not sink a global conglomerate’s stock.
We win the culture war by sinking a division and sending a clear signal to the woke marketing warriors that they should not risk pandering to the groomers and pedophiles.
Bud Light is a core brand for In-Bev. No, it will not sink the conmpany, but it is a powerful statement.
Their marketing people have made their Budweiser brand synonymous with sissy girly men. Men will avoid the beer simply because they don't want to be associated with being weak and girly.
Men who drink it will be mocked. People will buy it for men just to mock them.
InBev may be fine overall, but that particular brand has been trashed, and it may never disassociate itself from being perceived as sissy/tranny beer.
This damage may be permanent.
Have you told the people at AB this? They really need some good news.
Cool post for a conservative activism site. “Your most successful conservative activism in years means nothing. 😎” Except it means something to Bud. They didn’t just come out and call the new VP the new VP cause clickbait.
$63 - $66 per share not much of a bump board members must be betting heavy they can pull a sham off.
They should be fine. It’s the desired outcome that the business grows and Budweiser focuses on making beer not some idiotic woke agenda.
I’m guessing the message was received.
who cars InBev... BL has to pay
Who remotely has state AB was going to go out of business over this?
I don’t know anyone who has even stated that.
Yes Bud Light makes up about 36% of their sales volume, but the company had over 57 BILLION dollars in sales last year overall.
BL sales while falling are never going to be zero, so 36% of 57 is about 20.5 Billion... and lets say when its all said and done Bud Light sells 50% less beer due to this, that means they lose $10.25 Billion in revenue.. not chump change at all, but they still will be generating nearly 50 BILLION in revenue... They would need to adjust to that loss, but its not going to put them out of business.
Define “fine”. Will the go out of business. No. Will they not grow as much (actually shrink) yes. And in business that is terrible. There won’t be any bonuses and people will get fired.
Not sure what you expected but if Bud Light falls from being the #1 beer in the US that is huge.
That’s still a pile of $$. It’s a substantial percentage of their cash flow. It’s almost equal to their 2020 free cash flow.
It’s somewhat absurd and kind of daft to think there is anything positive about that kind of loss. It’s very bad business by any metric. It’s nearly a third of their annualized gross profit too.
Their self-inflicted “cluster F” has jacked with a lot of people and businesses who support Bud Light. Logistical companies, distributors, retailers, etc. Yea, yea, the stock price is groovy for now, but the long-term impact remains to be seen.
As far as a “write off”? I wonder if you have the same understanding of what that is than these folks do:
Why make that explanation/apology today? After all, don’t sweat it, man! Why offer to mitigate the costs to the distributors? Why promise a 3x increase in marketing, send two execs away on administrative leave, and then promise more vigilance over future marketing campaigns?
I want them to be fine. They made a big mistake and seem to have learned their lesson. Mulvaney Light is down 26% so our point has been made and A B’s actions show the lesson has been accepted.
It is an employer of thousands of Americans so let’s hope this comes to an end soon.
A lot of people probably switched from Bud Light to Budweiser without thinking beyond that.
So - let me see if I understand where you’re coming from - we should all give up, surrender, throw in the towel because -
Ambev is too big to be beaten
We can’t affect anyone because our boycotts will never do anything
Stocks aren’t being affected at all, so what’s the point
You are annoyed by some conservative sites, so we shouldn’t’t pay attention to them
Who cares that Ambev and several other major companies are supporting the gay campaign to seduce our kids - after, they aren’t your kids and maybe kids aren’t really important after all.
Have I summed up things well enough?
Another in the litany of “boycotts don’t work” stories.
Here’s a tidbit: many, self included, have shared the entire brand range of Ab InBev and aren’t buying anything of theirs. At all. Indefinitely.
Until the C-suite fears us more than they fear wokeists, they’ll do what the DEI people want, hire DEI people, contribute to their causes in shakedowns, etc. They need to be terrified of what our influencers will say, not of what Al Sharpton will say. They need to pony up for 40 Days for Life and not Planned Parenthood. Ideally they’d just make beer and shut up but those options are closed.
Or, we could love bad beer more than our families and culture, in which case buy a lot of it so you won’t see what’s coming next.
