The company’s latest quarterly reporting was for the period ending March 31st, prior to the Mulvaney advertising campaign. That reporting doesn’t take into account the current drop in sales and orders that have occurred since then. I suspect when this quarter’s numbers are released sometime in July we will see a drop in the share price.
Also, who is currently buying stock and keeping the price close to the 52 weeks high? Is it institutional buyers? Buyers such as Vanguard, Fisher Asset, Edge Capital, Morgan Stanley etc.? Or, is it individual retail investors? That makes a difference when it comes to perceived customer support and actual customer support. When this quarter’s earnings reports are released this summer, that will tell the true story.
There are ways to write off business losses. AB Inbev has been rising in profits every year for at least the last 3 or 4 years that I saw. A bad year will not necessarily benefit them, but it will not be a huge obstacle.
Big beer is already losing hard to local craft beers. Their only saving Grace is exclusivity at large venues. How much faggot beer will people but at the Daytona 500 this year? The next Rockies game?
Watch out for that prenatal chicken counting.
Which is exactly what I said in my post. July, I expect to see a short term drop in stock price, and it will return to normal thereafter. By the end of the year, it will hardly be a blip, especially with them running damage control and the amount they are about to dump into that.
For me it is not a boycott. Not sending a message or making a statement.
A-B has made it clear they do not want my business so they will no longer get it. The success or failure of AB in the long run is not my problem. Other people can do what they want.
On the other hand, A-B has made it easy for trans-curious to signal their interests.
The day to day stock price is nothing more than noise. It’s meaningless. See what happens when they continually lose sales.
Of course, all this could be just a blip, but I think you are jumping to some conclusions.
An opinion piece does can never be a bombshell. There has to be significant actual news.
Of course, they’ll be fine. But a message was sent and appears to have been received.
I don’t drink much beer and, when I do, it’s nothing from their portfolio.
Lately, I’ve been sipping vodka, Ukranian vodka actually
It’s not about the beer company, per se.
I am absolutely jumping at some conclusions, like the fact that they lost $7 billion in sales. Have they lost sales? YES! They have (and rightfully so). But it isn't what these #fakenews clickbait outlets are trying to lead us to believe.
It’s not how tax write offs work unless you are a shareholder and sold for a loss.
No, it isn't. A fake woman on a beer can is merely symptomatic of the larger issues we have in America. I am certainly thankful for those "bigwigs" who have taken a stand against this nonsense, but ultimately my point is that these mouth breathing outlets are doing nothing but working us all up over what will eventually be a non-issue on the radar of American business. Kind of like the whole Coca Cola original recipe fiasco.
Bed bath and beyond went woke and broke
Annheuser-Busch is doing all it can to change the narrative. Wonder if anyone was paid to write and disseminate this article. Much of the Bud Light on retail shelves will not be sold prior to the expiration dates. The losses are continuing. Decent rational people don’t want to be associated with a beer linked to perversion or even associate with people who buy it or drink it.
Since you don’t know what a tax write-off is, the rest of your article is useless to even read.
Russian vodka, Ukrainian vodka...all rotten pathetic communist dictator vodka.
Not to mention that the people who worked for the Bud Light brand will become unemployed as a result.
(tax write-offs)
All these big companies......they just write it off!!
You don’t even know what a write-off is!
Do you?
No, I don’t!
Well they do, and they’re the ones writing it off!
Pretty much my take. Well written, BTW.
GM survived the Vega...
