They will have to be inflated to a higher pressure than those on nasty fossil fuel cars. If they explode while you work on them, your ass is grass. The discarded tires from gas vehicles will be piled in mountains of rubber that will be ignited by lightning and burn with a black smoke that will pollute the air and causes more climate change.

The gas tank in the car weighs 125 lbs when its full, 15 lbs when its empty, an average weighty of 70 lbs.
A BEV’s fuel tanks weighs half a ton when it’s full, and half a ton when it’s empty, an average weight of ... half a ton.

I have an EGO 56v electric mower. The battery lasts enough to do my average sized lawns twice. It’s much lighter than a gas mower and doesn’t bog as easily in heavy grass. It costs about $400 at Lowes. I really like it.
The same with my Ryobi 18v chain saw. Good enough for home owner needs. Not as capable as the Sthil but easier to use and less dangerous.
I’d never get an electric car. But for mowers they aren’t a bad option.

$1000 a set for special EV tires? You haven’t bought tires recently. I put 4 Kumhos on my German big sedan (20” wheels) for $1000 from Tire Rack. If I’d have gone Michelin it was more than double that. Like everything else tire prices have soared.
You might not need oil changes on your $75,000 EV, but I could see you spending $1200+ to replace the tires. The value of an EV as a used car I would also think would not be much with a five figure cost of replacing the battery looming.

Take a look at the flimsy blades they come with. Compare to gas blades, especially the weight. How long will those cookies cutter stamped blades last?

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this. Thanks for laying it out so concisely. Also saw that EV’s are losing value at double the rate of gas powered cars. The arguments keep piling up.
