About 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, a 40-year-old woman called 911 to say a Chupacabra and a capybara were inside and outside her apartment in the 1900 block of West Saginaw Road in Jerome Township, said Sheriff Myron Greene.
“She’s reporting an animal out back. She believes possibly it could be a Chupacabra,” says a dispatcher in a Midland County Central Dispatch recording of the call.
“What’s the animal?” an officer asks.
“A Chupacabra, sir, she described it,” the dispatcher replies.
The officer replies he’s en route.
“There’s been a high amount of sightings of those in that area lately, by the way,” the officer adds.
Deputies responded to the apartment, spoke with the woman, and checked the area.

“They verified there was no evidence of any strange animals,” said Greene, adding that the woman later provided some insight on why she thought she saw the creatures. “After that, she said she was coming off using some intoxicated substances.”
Deputies did not issue the woman any citation for the call.
“She honestly somehow believed those animals may have been there,” Greene said.
The Chupacabra is an alleged cryptid, or animal not discovered or recognized by zoologists akin to Sasquatch or Nessie. Its name is Spanish for “goat sucker.”
The creature gained popularity after being reported in Puerto Rico in the 1990s and has since become enmeshed in folklore. The beast is often linked to attacks on livestock such as goats and cattle and has been accused of drinking their blood.
In Central and South America, the creature is described as a short, spiny, bipedal reptilian, while in the southwestern United States, it’s more often described as more of a quadrupedal canid.
Reputed carcasses found in Texas have proven to be mange-afflicted dogs or coyotes.
Capybaras, by contrast, are genuine animals and are notable for being the world’s largest rodents. They are native to the dense forests and marshes of South America, found in every country on the continent save Chile.
Yeah likely
Maybe it was just a coyote, the animal version and not the kind who smuggles illegal aliens into the country.
Nazi pisslousey is in Michigan?
While she was at it she should have claimed to have seen a jackalope too.
Likely? As if there is any other possibility.
