Yep, that was years ago I believe, and he’s dead now, by the way. Every time, however, flat earthers conduct real experiments they get their foot in their mouths.
I’m glad he proves the earth rotates.
Now, prove it doesn’t rotate like a pizza in a microwave.
Lol...
wrong. Fauci IS science. Whatever he says goes. No questions allowed!
You could get a gyroscope for about $3.49 when I was a kid.
Inflation.
“Now, prove it doesn’t rotate like a pizza in a microwave.”
That’s already proven by the fact that clocks keep the same time at sea level anywhere on the planet. If the earth was a spinning disc, then clocks near the center of the disc would be traveling slower than clocks near the edge, so they would not keep time at the same rate.
The Coriolis effect. It reverses itself south of the equator.
I wonder if this guy would like to bet me $20k there’s no gravity.
I'll believe it when I see it.
(If the earth was really round, we would roll right off. So there.)
Orbital velocity, apply the Virial theorem:
F(gravity) = F(centripetal)
GMm/r² = mv²/r
v²= GM/r;
Vo = √(GM/r).
For an orbital altitude of 400 km,
Vo = 17,325 mph.
Earth’s rotational velocity is 1,035 mph. For objects on Earth to fly off into space the Earth’s rotation rate would have to be >17 times faster. QED
I’m moderately curious to know if you have even the slightest clue what a LASER ring gyro is, or what it’s used for (normally), or why it costs $20,000.
Hah! I can prove that gravity is increasing. Also my belt doesn’t fit anymore. It’s probably a coincidence.
I recently knew a flat earther who was ex-Air Force.
All these years I thought they were just having fun with it, enjoying the game of being the contrarian, I didn’t know that they actually believe it.
He should move on to proving that men can be women and women men. Might even get a Nobel for it.
I saw it once (I think it was on this forum), someone stated that the Earth is DEFINITELY round- if it wasn’t, cats would’ve pushed everything off the edge by now…
It can’t be flat. If it was the cats would have knocked everything off by now.
Do tell...
If you’ve not seen “Behind the curve”, you should. But only for 2 things, to see these idiots in action, and to see the experiment at the end. “Interesting!” the guy says when yet ANOTHER laser experiment proves him wrong.
