I think I helped some of my kid’s friends when they were younger. They weren’t my kids but I like to think I was a positive influence on them.

I have one son but I don’t get to see him very often, so maybe you have an easier without that heartache? my daughter-in-law doesn’t care much for us, started when we didn’t think getting married at 17 without graduating high school was a good idea. Tried to explain that peoples lives are much easier if you wait to get married until you have a solid career. I think she disliked us even more when it turned out we were right, although I never said a word, just lent them $ we never got back.

Have you heard that “Rob” DeSanctimonious wants to change his name, again. He is demanding that people call him DeeeSantis, rather than DaSantis. Actually, I like “Da” better, a nicer flow, so I am happy he is changing it. He gets very upset when people, including reporters, don’t pronounce it correctly. Therefore, he shouldn’t mind, DeSanctimonious?

Today I’m voting no, and let me tell you why.
The bill was not all bad. It contained modest but needed updates on energy permitting reforms and it negotiated spending reductions, but it is just not enough for Montana.
We are faced with adding $4 trillion in debt. More must be done to cut the budget and grow the economy. Article I of the Constitution is clear, “no money shall be withdrawn from the treasury but in Consequence of Appropriations made by law.”
We need structural change in how government operates to get back to that fundamental Constitutional power. I will use my position on the Appropriations Committee to reduce spending and pull back government over-regulation that is driving inflation and debt.
I commend Speaker McCarthy for his work in passing the Limit, Save, Grow Act and forcing the White House to finally negotiate with Republicans.

They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests.
Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting effed by a system that threw them overboard 30 effing years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly ——tier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money.
They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, ‘cause they own this effing place. It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it.
