If Tucker Carlson is hiring a top lawyer like this, then perhaps that CTH article posted here earlier today — with all its silly, unsourced speculation — had it all wrong. The CTH article claimed that Carlson would be paid out for the remainder of his contract and would have no non-compete restrictions. This sounded preposterous to me.
If Tucker was being paid for the remainder of his contract, and had no non-disclosure or non-compete restrictions, then why would he take any legal action against Fox News over his termination/resignation, whatever the official reason for him no longer being at Fox News is?
Sounds like something doesn’t add up here.
Tucker got a 3 year contract extension on Jan 1, 2021 for keeping silent while The Steal was unfolding. So Tucker’s contract expires at the end of this year. Useful idiots like Tucker typically get the old heave ho like this when they are no longer useful.
Megyn Kelly secure around $30 million from NBC News after she parted ways with the network in 2019. Kelly was fired halfway through her three-year contract worth $69 million, but NBC agreed to pay her the remainder of her original salary.
