Is he active duty? Is he wearing a uniform or is it a costume? I don’t respect military veterans who wear a uniform as a costume or a costume made to look like a uniform. If he is or was a colonel really that doesn’t matter much. Colonel is not that high on the food chain. Especially when there are two levels of colonel.
How silly is that? Everyone knows the counter offensive is coming and Russian officers and sources from Russia have discussed the need to defend against it also the vulnerability of Crimea and other areas.

Ukraine did launch a counter offensive and seized significant territory including the city of Kherson.
This new counter offensive has been planned for Spring and everyone knows it’s coming.
So no it hasn’t been talked about for a year without happening.
Yes colonel McGregor is a Russian propagandist that is well established including his calls for Germany to abandon nato and to join up with Russia to conquer Eastern Europe.
