Do you ever wish that you could just snap your fingers and change the culture overnight?

Ask yourself how many conservatives actually, meaningfully oppose "same-sex marriage" today as compared to 10 years ago. That will tell you everything you need to know about our resolve.
Brown thinks that sweet and sugary talk will take care of everything. Is he willing to push back PAST faux "marriage" and demand that homosexuality itself be completely scandalized in society again? No, instead he APOLOGIZED to homosexuals, on behalf of the Church, for being too mean in the past.
Nobody publicly speaks against homosexual marriage anymore.
There is a fear of the left in this country, such that people are afraid to speak out against the leftist view of things.
The right has effectively and dramatically lost the cultural war for ages to come. As that has happened, the right has increasingly become more and more anti-intellectual, ceding a place at the cultural conversation table, and perpetuating a spiral of social setbacks.
I don't know about lazy. Conservatives are just, by definition, not looking for control over other people. Leftists are always scheming, plotting, inventing ways to destroy and control. It's what they do with their free time since they don't have spouses, families, mortgages...
"Thankfully, the pushback is continuing to gain momentum, but the shift will not come through a single election (or even series of elections), as important as the elections might be."
If you were one to count blessings, at least consider the fact that the Left has to cheat to win elections. They have not converted nearly enough people to join in their fantasy.
Conservatives have a wide libertarian streak, which means they want to live in peace with their neighbors, help people when desired or needed, and keep private behavior private. They or “we,” don’t automatically tell others how to live as a first resort. There are exceptions, but from the religious crowd, primarily.
So how is it “lazy” to raise your own family, promote positivity and tradition, pay scandalous taxes, and do no harm to anyone when everything everywhere is fixed and controlled by the other side?
“Conservatives will never do this, because they are terminally lazy and don’t have the courage of their convictions like the left does. They also drift left with the Overton Window, unlike the left who incrementally and inexorably push the envelope further left and then capitalize on their advances with more push. “
Sadly, that is the absolute truth. It explains why we are constantly getting rolled.
We are the frog in the proverbial pot.
How hot does the water have to get before we bother to act and save ourselves?
“There is a fear of the left in this country such that people are afraid to speak out against the leftist view of things.”
That translates to a lack of courage by our side.
“If you were one to count blessings, at least consider the fact that the Left has to cheat to win elections. They have not converted nearly enough people to join in their fantasy.”
They couldn’t care less about convincing people. All they care about is getting enough power to FORCE you to submit.
Much more effective way to get what you want than the time consuming effort of convincing with uncertain results.
And they don’t view cheating as a negative but as a huge achievement on their part.
Even worse, many are jumping on the fag celebration bandwagon, most sadly many Evangelical and Catholic churches.

A great many do but it’s restricted on many form of networks only those who control them try to keep it hid like a crazy uncle in the attic.
Truth is still around and living well
Cultural Change = Bud Lite
The fail light keeps getting brighter by the day
Good point, but the cheating only gives them the marginal edge to push close elections to them. There is still a massive number of people who swallow the whole leftist agenda, enough to put them within cheating range.
Thus, the Overton Window description still applies. Imagine if leftists were pushing what they push today back in the mid-80's or earlier. They wouldn't get 5% of the vote, in ANY state.
“I don’t know about lazy. Conservatives are just, by definition, not looking for control over other people. Leftists are always scheming, plotting, inventing ways to destroy and control.”
There is some truth to the notion that conservatives by nature are not looking to control other people.
However there is also an aspects of laziness and/or lack of courage on their part since they have shown very little pushback against people who are trying (and succeeding) to control their (conservatives) lives.
We have just knuckled under. And that’s the result of laziness and lack of interest and courage to effectively fight back.
Bottom line - the left is willing to fight for their beliefs more than we are willing to fight for ours.
The 64k question is, “What, if anything, is going to change that equation?”
The 64k question is, “What, if anything, is going to change that equation?”
The critical question indeed. Just keep doing what we've always done isn't going to cut it.
My biggest pet peeve is the issue of local offices and races for local control. The left ALWAYS focuses on these and, as a result, often capture city governments, county governments, and school boards due to conservative apathy, even in conservative states and regions. Leftists win by conservatives forfeiting a game they wouldn't show up for.

Very true! The left has armies of “activists”. We have an army of timid, armed-to-the-teeth couch potatoes.
Have you ever noticed how many story headlines have the word “activists” in them?
They are the ones who set the agenda.
