@johncardillo
There is no excuse for Trump abdicating his presidency to Fauci.
None whatsoever.
You can debate civil service laws on firing, but Trump had full control over who was invited to meetings, put on air, and whose advice to follow.
We didn’t elect Fauci. Trump coronated him.
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
“There isn’t a single executive order anywhere — that affected my business and my clients, or any other person or business owner I have come across here on FR — that has the signature of President Donald J. Trump on it.”
Expecting factual evidence to count on a Covid thread is asking too much.
Yes,obviously they’ll steal it again no matter which candidate of ours runs.
“Hey kids, lets watch President LockDon doing some serious boast about shutting our nation down!”
“Shut ‘er down!”
Trump is talking about his closing the border to travel from China. Pelosi had a problem with that. Are you saying that you did too?
We still haven’t gotten a vaccine.
Totally agree. But once the facts were in, he responded quickly.
“DeSantis did do a lockdown during the 2 weeks to stop the spread”
Yes.
“I was referring to mRNA tech used by men to manipulate our biology.”
Because you haven’t the faintest idea what mRNA does in a cell and it shows.
So you parrot the idea that mRNA is the scary boogie man stuff that “manipulates your biology”.
But I guess that you’re okay with RNA viruses like Covid “manipulating your biology” since they operate like one big mRNA molecule and there’s nothing that you can do to stop it.
Of course that would first require you to know that positive strand RNA viruses act as mRNA and I’ve noticed that the Freeper School of Conspiracy Medicine never seems to cover that topic. Go figure.
Agree. Ignoring and being willfully blind to the facts at hand is “tiresome”. Conservatives are supposed to be better than that.
$hot$hills4DeSanctus!
Imagine that!
No one is claiming Trump is perfect. It’s the DeSantis wing that thinks he SHOULD be perfect. Total nonsense.
As for spending, unless and until the VOTERS realize that it’s Congress that writes/passes legislation etc. The continuing lazor focus on who is President allows Congress to act without consequence………..because the voters can only focus on one position…..the presidency.
Not one thing will change until Congress changes, period. Let’s try ringing their bell daily to do the right thing. That’s energy much better spent.
Sad.
You don’t know what I have the faintest idea of.
But fine ... you trust the bastards ... I will not and never have.
Even if you think nothing of my knowledge in one respect let’s hear you lecture me about human nature and these fools like Fauci.
Even while the manipulation by Twitter and the government is revealed, day by day.
You act like Trump picked Fauci. Get it straight. Fauci was civil service. He’d been there for decades. One can’t just fire a civil service employee
Get your head out of the sand
You can blame Trump for anything you darn well please. Doesn’t make it true
Fauci couldn’t be fired. His position was civil service
The TDSers are ruining FR.
Thank you for confirming my very definite memories of those days. He also invoked executive powers to cut through red tape with pioneering research, such as monoclonal antibodies, which saved lives, and unfortunately also led to the f@#$ing vaccine, and pushed the production of respirators, which turned out to be unnecessary, and provided naval hospital ships to New York and LA, and set up an emergency center in Central Park, all of which the leftard mayors and governors wiped their a@@es on.
Fauci remained on his team and a force to be reckoned with due to his seniority and the MSM’s infatuation with him, but he was by no means running the whole show. That’s a despicable lie.
You don't understand how these things work, do you? Trump's Declaration of a National Emergency on March 16, 2020, for "15 Days to Flatten the curve," soon to be extended to April 30th, and then indefinitely, legally enabled the CDC and all the governors and health departments to issue their totalitarian lockdown orders immediately.
Not only did Trump's formal declaration enable them to do what they did from a legal and liability standpoint, but it gave them and every other official institution and corporation in the country the political cover they needed to do so. Why do you think they fought so hard to keep that declaration in place for so long? Because it was an enabling authority from the President. Heck, Biden only just got around to ending it recently.
On Monday, April 10, 2023, the President signed into law:
H.J.Res. 7, which terminates the national emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sorry but your effort to give Trump a pass and deflect blame to the governors fails utterly because the buck stopped with Trump in March 16, 2020. If he had not issued that declaration then there would have been no lockdowns. Period.
You should also remember I was here from 1999 but merely changed my name.
Which is longer than you skippy.
Two problems with that statement:
1. When were "the facts in?" DeSantis and his Nazi health commissioner were still holding press conferences announcing closures of bars and restaurants in June of 2020.
2. This still doesn't excuse the abject idiocy of the original lockdowns -- which were preposterous on their face to anyone with half a brain who could think rationally ... like forcing people to stay home while closing parks and public spaces where they could be exposed to open air, like closing small retail stores while allowing the same merchandise to be sold in Target and Walmart, like announcing a statewide lockdown even while openly admitting that most parts of the state had very low COVID infection rates, etc., etc.
