Michelle Obama: Who Democrats Really Want for President?
MSN ^ | 4/22/2023 | John Rossomando

Could Michelle Obama be a Darkhorse Candidate for the Democrats?: Hillary Clinton paved a track as the former first U.S. First Lady to run for president in her own right. Could Michelle Obama be the next?

Michelle Obama? Would She Run?

With weak support for President Joe Biden among Democrats and questions mounting about his age, Obama could be a dark horse candidate for the Democrats. She remains very popular among Democrats.

“Democrats see Barack Obama’s presidency as a type of modern ‘Camelot,’ the term often used to refer to John F. Kennedy’s presidency, when a young, smart and appealing president and his sophisticated young wife occupied the White House. As one historian has described it, ‘The term Camelot has been used retrospectively to refer to the Kennedy administration, which lasted between January 1961 and November 1963, capturing the charisma of Kennedy and his family,’” Merrill Matthews, resident scholar with the Dallas, Texas-based Institute for Policy Innovation, wrote in The Hill last month.

“Democrats are nostalgic for the charisma they perceived emanating from Obama and his family, while no one has ever associated charisma with Joe Biden.”

Obama vs. Ron DeSantis?

Democratic political strategist Douglas Schoen wrote in January that Obama would be the only Democrat who could be a match for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who polls well with Independents. DeSantis trails former President Donald Trump by a wide margin.

If Michele Obama runs and if it is an honest election, she wins in a landslide. Both the primaries & the general.
If Newsom is the Washington Uniparty choice, he can only win by rigging the outcome and that will happen.

There is no way any Republican can win in 2024. Especially President Trump.

She’s never run a state, and she has no foreign policy experience. Hillary was Sec. Of State, plus she was a Senator. Michelle was FLOTUS, that’s all.

Michelle Obama might have captured the Hollywood bunch, but so have any number of charlatans and kooks. She has no relevant experience, and that will matter to Independents. I think there is a path for Nikki Haley, and possibly Trump.

And you really think experience has anything to do with getting “elected”?

In a sane world, it does. But we left sanity behind decades ago.

Anybody But Biden...Anybody But Kennedy

I see the latest Harvard Harris Poll and there must be ten Democrats names on it but no Robert Kennedy Jr.

"“Dark horse”?? No. More like “Obsidian Mule” ."

Obsidian would at least have some sharp edges. Her tongue aside, Moochell is about as sharp as a bowling ball.

No thanks for me too. But those attributes are an asset from the Deep State point of view.

Lazy: Means she can be controlled by the puppet-masters.
Angry scowl: Means she can sell the poor, picked upon black woman story.

The smaller the two parties get, the more what my grandmother called ax grinders win primaries. When you have two ax grinder candidates, people start figuring which will cause the least harm. Obama has no experience and she has a bad temperament that her handlers are turning themselves inside out trying to rehabilitate.

The more people see of DeSantis, the more he seems like Florida man crossed with Alito. I don’t think he will fly outside of a primary. That leaves a power vacuum that Obama could step into.

Trump, whatever else you might want to say, did get high marks for the economy, plus he isn’t going along with demands for a nationwide ban on abortion.

Haley has the experience, she ran a state, she has foreign policy experience, she displays grace under pressure. She would wipe the floor with Michelle Obama.

She’s too lazy to want a job that big, unless she turns it over to Susan Rice.
