The NFL has partnerships with gambling organizations now so it’s a little bit hypocritical of them to act self-righteous about gambling (referring to the the guys who didn’t bet on football). Those partnerships were a bad idea if you ask me. Yes they probably rake in lots of cash. However they leave themselves open to some questions down the road.
This is a joke. Here in the Detroit area half the commercials are gambling interests(DraftKings, MGM....)since they legalized it.
...you don't think the NFL/others didn't/don't contribute/benefit from that? LOL!
It's not sport, it's business...everything is(politics, education, healthcare,...)
...like Joe Pesci said..."it's all about the $$$"
It’s really more about the when and where than the what. And really it’s more of an “insider trading” rule than anything. You can’t gamble at team facilities. So if your QB gets injured during practice you can’t quickly place a bet before the news goes out and effects the line.
Even when the NFL pretended there was no such place as Vegas and no such thing as gambling they’ve always protected the line (which is what all the pre-game shows called it back in the day, never “the Vegas line” or “gambling line” just “the line). Heck that’s why injury reports come out on Thursdays.
The NFL is in bed with Pfizer.
Gambling...
Snort.
