E.ON Hikes Energy Prices 45% As Germany Winds Down Its Last Nuclear Plants
The Deep Dive ^ | April 17, 2023 | E.R. Velasco

Germany began shutting down its three remaining nuclear power reactors on Saturday as part of a long-planned shift to renewable energy. The international community was keeping a tight eye on the shutdown of the reactors Emsland, Neckarwestheim II, and Isar II, which was agreed to more than a decade ago...

***snip***

The country was caught in a bind as it tries to enact the 2011 resolution by former Chancellor Angela Merkel to make a nuclear exit by the end of 2022, but was starting to reconsider in the face of threats to the stability of the energy supply.

Europe’s largest electricity exporter made the decision to keep the last reactors open until mid-April after power operators conducted stress tests on the grid. The results showed that there could be times the electrical supply will be hitting crisis level given the tightness in the continent’s energy market.

Alongside the closure of the nuclear plants, German multinational electric utility E.ON increased its prices by as much as 45% starting June 1.

Europe’s Deep States aren’t committing suicide.

They are slaughtering their middle classes.

Purposefully.

Just as ours is.

It was one thing to make this decision 10 years ago. It’s another to not look at the data over the last 10 years and not adjust course. This is nuts!

Over the last 10 years we know; wind & solar don’t cut it, coal is still abundant, nuclear is a pretty good option, natural gas dependencies are a bad idea. So what do you do? Continue to scrap the best option!!!

Just wow. How won’t this send Germany into a recession?

Sad thing for the Germans is, they once were a technology leader in commercial nuclear power. Today the import nuclear power from France and lie about it.

Now that they've gone Full Retard, they want to put sanctions on Rosatom fuel to Europe - screwing over France, Hungary and Bulgaria.

Those three aren't having any of it.

Well, that’s certainly a surprise. No one could have predicted that energy prices would go UP after such a well-thought out plan was implemented.

This all makes sense, though, if the Great Reset is what those running Germany are hoping to accomplish.

Hopefully, enough Germans pissed off enough to get rid of Schultz and the Green freaks.

Germany is withdrawing from their historic and illustrious position of being Europe’s premier industrial power. We can only expect extreme social unrest through massive unemployment of skilled technical workers and the many Turkish and Algerian Gastarbeiter who are now going home empty-handed, pissed off and ready for acts of sabotage and terrorism.

The US is only a step behind in spite of its oil and gas wealth. We are the bigger idiots because we are led by the Supreme Idiot.

What Frau Merkel did to Germany we copied here in the US while telling ourselves that we live in the land of the free.
