If you're thinking of picking up a new iPhone later this year you should probably think again if rumors of a new, higher price are to be believed. Especially if you had your eye on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Historically the most expensive iPhone of all, the Pro Max is reportedly going to break new ground and become the most expensive iPhone ever when the iPhone 15 series is announced this September. That's according to a new report by China's United Daily News.
According to that report the iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost as much as RMB 20,000 which works out to be around $2,900 at the current exchange rate. To put that into perspective the iPhone 14 Pro Max currently sells for $1,099 in its 128GB configuration. Even the range-topping 1TB model sells for just $1,599. The prospect of Apple increasing the price so much is, frankly, insane. But that's what the report is claiming.

Thanks. I went for a nice walk in town yesterday and one of the roads took me down by Adobe Creek. My elevation dropped MAYBE 20 or 30 feet to the bottom. There was NO reception down by the bridge over the creek! My call to my sister was nonstop “Can you hear me now” until I climbed back up the other side.
It is SO pitiful.
I may switch back to Verizon and let my wife stay on T-Mobile. We switched to save money in retirement, but it has been an absolute and total disaster.
I think the 2 livers comment was an attempt at humor. I thought it was funny.
I was thinking they will either make ICE cars either super expensive or completely worthless in their agenda of pushing electric EVs on us.
Have they done this before? Kind of wish I’d have stayed with Samsung.
Of course it will be expensive. It was expensive last year, and it will probably be somewhat more expensive this year. But it’s not going to double. And the article is still irresponsible hogwash.
Well, you wanna agree with me now that this article was hogwash? And wanna agree with me now that you were foolish for giving it credibility?
The pricing on the iPhone Pro didn’t even change from last year.
Good grief! As if I know or care anything about the price of an iPhone.
All I know is that my wife and daughter got suckered into purchasing Apple products long ago and have done nothing but complain about them through the years.
I'll never forget the contractor at work that showed off his original Apple Macintosh. I had a TI-99/4A home. The first thing that came out of my mouth was, that's all it can do?
I worked at an MCI long distance switch site and we already had a bunch of PCs. That Macintosh was a joke. I could write programs, the Apple had a word processor. Of course the PC had Word Perfect too.
What a bunch of hype!
Thanks for admitting it was foolish of you to give that article any credibility. Hopefully you will refrain from promulgating such nonsense in the future. Have a nice day.
Read what I wrote and tell me how much I promulgated nonsense.
I’m referring to you posting the preposterous and stupid article, as if it had any credibility. That dishonest bullshit fed FUD that was then based on lies and bullshit. Posting that kind of bullshit made you look foolish.
Why post stuff you know nothing about? It doesn’t make you look intelligent.
Well, I made myself look foolish too! I got you mixed up with the person that posted the original article and thought you were one and the same. I retract my harsh words to you. I am sorry.
It makes you a minority so you can go that entrepreneur class.
“Is that what you want?”
Great album, by the way.
One of my sisters dogs chewed her latest phone up. So I offered to get her a new phone and I did. I got her an iPhone 8 which still has the home button on it which is exactly what she wanted in any event I only paid $150 for it and as far as I know, it still gets the latest updates. There’s certainly no reason to spend $2900 on a new iPhone . If the older ones that are still getting updates are out there then they are just as good. I thought iPhone 6 was pretty damn good phone.
But I would observe that some people post trash just so the rest of us can discuss it.
There's a clue in there ...
Oddly enough, I use a Samsung A42-5G on Verizon, and have no trouble.
