I saw a headline his morning that AB fired the whole marketing department and looked for other sources to make sure it was not a Babylon Bee type of announcement and found several other mentions of it. One said that the woman who set it all up was not fired, though. I will wait a couple of days and see what the reporting says then.
(1) You call that string of catch-phrases an apology? Nowhere in there is language that could remotely be considered an apology or a recognition that they screwed up.
(2) A mistake? A mistake? Using the wrong word or having a misspelling in an advertisement is a mistake. This was a deliberate act that was supported by the corporation for days, before they panicked at the damage that it was doing.
(3) They have made no move to "correct" this "mistake". While trying behind their "we didn't know about it" facade, they have not condemned the advertising move nor have they withdrawn the "sponsorship" of the product from this fake-woman.
They should have their feet held to the fire on this. While they wouldn't have dreamed of having an advertisement that showed someone in Blackface, they instead used the equivalent advertisement against women.
Transgenders and Drag Queens are to Women
What Blackface is to Blacks.
And they should be held accountable, along with their brand.
I went into the local Target five years ago and have not been back. I have never gone through the door of a Starbucks. The whole premise of the company turned me off and I would be embarassed to be in one.
Money over principle, ehh junior????
Maybe… THAT is a big part of how this nation got itself into such a mess, huh?..
It’s the Trump way. Shoot your friends in the back while giving a reach-around to your enemies.
The only thing that can save the brand at this point is an apology and a return to the Real Men of Genius advertising campaign or something similarly manly.
They are carpetbaggers using conservatives for their own reasons.”
That was always my thought when he first ran for President. But I was very pleasantly surprised with how much good work he accomplished for conservative values while in office.
I figured that being in power opened his eyes, and gave a new perspective on things.
This is true.
*** I understand the owners have apologized, and said they were wrong.***
Hey, FRiend, the owners of Bud Light and AB-In Bev did not apologize. Please reread the statement put out by the CEO Brenden Whitworth. There was no apology in it at all. None.

Also, you mentioned Shock Top as an alternative to Bud Light. Shock Top is also owned by AB-InBev, so anyone who drinks it is still lining the pockets of a company that promotes DEI philosophy.
Please click here to see their other brands, so that you can avoid them.

Any other time they would not want to be seen within a mile of a Trump.
I wonder how the Trump embrace feels for that low-level employee that manages the Bud brand. She probably hopes it can save her job and her reputation as marketing genius.
This was a fake story. Maybe intended as humorous.
Transsexuals are just homos playing dress up.
I thought so a first and when I saw what looked like confirmations I thought I should wait a couple of days and see what it turns out to be. It just didn’t sound right.
Okay, so Junior would bend over and take a gerbil up the gumper for money. The only question is for how much? A million dollars? A thousand dollars? $4.29 and a happy meal?
True, Marketing campaigns are designed to shift your Brand preference and buying decisions.
VP of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, is an effective genius

If Free Republic was a ‘focus group’, Bud would be extremely panicking.
I have read thru the comments and by my count 99.9% of the FReepers are never buying Bud products again.
