There was chaos in the Florida Capitol on Thursday with protesters flooding the building as the state House prepared to vote on a bill that would outlaw abortions in Florida after six weeks.
The law essentially is a total ban on abortions as most women don't realize they're pregnant until after six weeks.
Dozens of protesters were seen shouting and handfuls of stickers and small pieces of paper down on lawmakers as they entered the House chamber.
The stickers provided information on how to receive abortion pills through mail, according to local reports.
Florida's Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, supports the bill and has said he will sign it.
If it becomes the law it would give Florida one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.
The state already has a ban on abortions after 15 weeks, which is being challenged in the Florida Supreme Court. It's unclear when there will be a ruling in that case.
During debate on the six-week ban, Democratic lawmakers proposed more than 50 amendments to the bill but also acknowledged the uphill battle they faced in the Republican-controlled state legislature.
But House Speaker Paul Renner, a Republican, spent the afternoon rushing through that process, giving each amendment about a minute of debate before calling a voice vote, declaring the amendment failed, and moving on to the next one.
Some observers in the gallery booed and shouted at his actions. 'This is all just circus politics,' one yelled.

I’m getting to the point where I want to know who these people are. How many of them are there. Are they the same people turning up every time. I think we’re being played by a small number of people .

Declare the pro-abortion protestors as nothing but fetuses that feel no pain as you use forceps to pull them apart limb-by-limb in a safe, legal, and rare manner.

we have been told, that mobs of people going in a capitol building is an insurrection, and an attempt to overthrown the government.
This is the second or third attack on the legislature, which is hanging in there although it keeps getting undermined by people like the former GOP Gov. Charlie Crist (who changed parties and is now a Dem), recently endorsed by Trump in his senseless attempt to “get” DeSantis.
Trump should look around and think if his attacks really help the cause, which is the GOP program in Florida. I don’t think so, and he needs to be supportive or shut up.
I think FL is going to have to tell the state troopers to be a little more aggressive, because these attacks are getting really dangerous.
Hell will freeze over before that happens. Rprsecutions will not be considered because they are Democrats. Thus protected.

Tallahassee is a blue county. Probably most, if not all, of the protesters are legacy residents from the many decades of Democrats being the only significant party until Reagan came along. It’s taken over 4 decades to go from midnight blue to almost entirely red. Happily, Hollywood, FL, isn’t like Hollywood, CA, or we’d probably still have only D’s as office-holders.
