A missing Texas woman was found alive last week in a Jeep that plunged into a lake and was almost entirely submerged, police said.
The unidentified woman had been missing from Longview when she was found inside the black vehicle in Lake o’ the Pines on Friday, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.
Pictures from the scene show the hood of the Jeep just barely visible above the water about 40 feet from the shore. The sheriff’s office’s statement said that a fisherman alerted authorities to the vehicle in the morning.
Police arrived at the scene about 18 minutes later, then waited for a local wrecking crew to arrive.
“We do not know how long the Jeep was in the water,” Capt. Chuck Rogers told NPR of the incident.
The police and the wrecking crew were getting ready to tow the car using the fisherman’s own boat when they noticed someone was inside and moving. *** They pulled the woman onto the boat and took her to shore, where she huddled in a car to keep warm before an ambulance arrived.
Her current condition is unknown, and Longview authorities have declined to share further details about her disappearance.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office believes the Jeep rolled into the lake accidentally.

Upon pulling their catch into the boat, they realized that they landed a woman. They promptly tossed her back into the water as women are out of season.
I saw this the other day on the local news. Seems like she has mental issues.
Does she have the power to breathe underwater?
How do they know it’s a woman?
How do they know it’s a woman?
Reminds me of the lost app trail woman in Maine who sat and starved to death only two miles from the trail and civilization
Bordering a naval installation
Incredible
Show me a woman that don’t have mental issues. (A sexist would say).
If Ted had notified authorities right away that Mary Jo was trapped in his submerged car, she would have lived, just as the woman in this story did.
Some good responses today on FR.👍😂
She doesn’t seem to be the action figure type, maybe she’s a Buddhist.
This is the place to go to watch submarine races.

Not surprised, he was a Democrat!
Maybe they consulted a marine biologist.
The police, the tow crew, the fisherman...and, nobody thought to check for an occupant prior to towing it out?
“I thought you checked.”
“Nope, I thought you checked.”
“No, I didn’t. I figured the fisherman checked.”
“Naw, he had a fish on the line.”
“I didn’t even think about checking.”
“Me neither.”
“I thought Herb checked.”
“Well, it’s a good thing she was waving her hands.”
“Darn straight. It’s a long weekend and she woulda been at the tow yard for three days.”
So, when do the lawsuits against this horrible, UN-Woke article and un-woke rescue begin? “Noticed a woman in the car?” If the occupant of the car, anyone watching nearby or online, is royally triggered by this obvious un-woke way of viewing the world, the reparations for the damage inflicted on the actual woke will be significant. Do the un-woke have woke insurance? What will happen to their woke insurance rates? They will necessarily skyrocket. Will they be able to afford the new rates? Inquiring minds want to know.
I know, really.. my jeep couldn’t keep rain out.
Hell, push on something and you’ll fall out of it.
🤔
I know I shouldn’t have laughed at that, and yet I snorted from laughing so hard!
+1!
