Ever since I was a teenager. Are you implying Mad magazine is for children? I don’t buy that, from what I can tell it’s childish humor for adults. I could be wrong, I only see the cartoons that make it into social media. Not very impressive in book.
I had a 4ft poster of AEN on my bedroom wall with that silly ass grin and the What, Me Worry saying. It was my life’s motto as well.
Mad is for kids. 12 or early teen.
I should say was. I’m talking 50 years ago.
It’s pretty impressive you were reading SciAm as a kid.
I absolutely love that magazine. They’ve gone a bit left looney in some areas. But still a good magazine.
I’m a senior mechanical engineer, I’ve worked in medical, nuclear, aerospace, space, ultra-precision machine tool, electronics test, and electro magnetic sciences (microwave and radar).
It’s bad now, I think. Sad it’s so politicized.
I was not serious about scientific things when I was a kid.
A lot of scientists or engineers were always interested in their field, even as kids. I wasn’t at all. I had no plan or idea I would go in to science. I got interested when I was about 21.
Mad was a must-read back in the day. I hear it’s pretty badly woke now.
LOL!
It has worked for me, so far, so good, for 81 and 11/12 years!
Glad to hear that other REAL MEN lived their lives by that credo!
HUZZAH!
More importantly, had Pete Buttigieg offered condolences?
