Alvin Bragg could face criminal prosecution by the Justice Department if it deems the damages serious enough. the statute of limitations for 18 USC §242 is seven years. He has until April of 2030 to wait for a knock on his door by a friendly federal SWAT team. Is there any chance we'll have a Republican-appointed A.G. sometime before 2030?
A consensus has been reached by the legal panels at the alphabet soup media outlets — the people who consider "consensus" to be synonymous with "proof." They've looked at Alvin Bragg's charging document and are less than impressed with the strength of his legal reasoning. Their reaction was something like: Bragg investigated Trump for two years, upended our legal system, and launched a media circus for this? This nothingburger is all he's got?

- with 34 stacked misdemeanor charges of business document errors,
- which are past their statute of limitations,
- and are bumped up to felony violations,
- with the claim they were done to hide a felony,
- which is still hidden because Bragg is keeping it a secret from the court and the defendant.
That's apparently how it's done in New York.
Is Alvin Bragg so much of an amateur that he didn't realize that a charging document has to actually charge a crime? Does he think he can arrest and book a citizen without telling him what crime he's accused of — like what they used to do in the good old USSR?
But Bragg didn't stop there. He also asked the judge to set a trial date for January 2024 — letting the defense know that they have eight months to prepare a defense for a crime he hasn't disclosed...

I’m surprised Bragg didn’t set the trial date for the week of the Republican National Convention. Or perhaps the week before the election.
Nothing will happen to Bragg, Biden, Jugears or any other democrat mentioned in the article.
They are democrats. The media, alphabets and big tech will scream bloody murder about how unjust and unfair it would be.
Republicans will write a stern, or is that strongly, worded letter and the matter will end.
So far everything we have been able to find in print reveals zero criminal conduct. Indeed, the core “charge” isn’t even a statutory crime.

Yes, I think you are correct. The judge sets the trial date. Though in this instance, I suspect the Biden campaign or whatever puppetmaster is running the clown show is coordinating all concerned. The trial date will be moved as necessary for maximum political effect.
The left has been after Trump in every way possible for over 7 years now.
This manufactured “non crime as yet not identified because Bragg needs the door open to shapeshift a crime” is the best they can do. Even the other made up hogwash in Georgia and the documents crapola at Mar-a-Lago are nothing.
The one thing that is clear, Trump was in business in one of the most corrupt big cities in America for many years, has run for office twice, and still they have nothing on him. Either he is much smarter than all those who hate him and come after him OR he is one of the most honest business people and POTUS candidates ever.
Whether you like him or not, he has been fully vetted and has passed as far as criminal behavior goes.

Notice that Trump did not make a citizens arrest of Bragg for the felony of releasing the indictment illegally. And turn custody of ‘prisoner’ to Bailiff. We’d be having a whole different discussion right now if he had.
