The sheriff in the tiny Florida town rocked by a triple teen murder today vowed to hunt down the third suspect in the killings.
'I will get him,' Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods told a press conference as he revealed that Christopher Atkins, 12, and Robert Robinson, 17, had been arrested in connection with the slayings outside Ocklawaha, Florida.
Layla Silvernail, 16, Camille Quarles, 16, and an unidentified 17-year-old boy were last week shot together in a car before being discovered over a span of three days dumped in separate places within a 5-mile radius.
Woods explained that the victims and the alleged killers were all 'associated in some way with a gang' that was involved in a spate of robberies and burglaries.
'There is no honor among thieves, and at some point, these individuals turned on our three victims and murdered them,' the cop said. He said that the three suspects 'fled the scene but left a lot of evidence in their wake.'
Woods fought back tears as he described having to 'stare into the eyes' of the young suspects' mothers. He said: 'I put myself in the shoes of those mothers because I heard one of them say, 'I wish I would have known what this one was doing and who they were, because my kid never would have hung out with them.'
The third suspect in the case, Tahj Brewton, 17, remains at large, and a $10,000 reward has been offered for information that could lead to his capture.

Oh got it. Well, at least I don’t have to care so much if the girls were participants and the type to hang out with those guys.
Interesting that the names and the photos of the juveniles were released. Generally they’re withheld due to being juveniles.
Well you can read it by simply clicking on one of the links provided.
They all knew each other
SCOTUS banned Death penalty for minors a few years ago.
Bring the scalp. Enough of this.
That’s right.
No, I read the whole story and it didn’t say how the girls came to be with those guys. I do not click and read every link within a story that I have already opened.
It’s not a deep dive research project for me. I just notice that detail is being hidden.
Yea, sorry
I think they were all in the one car together ... Layla’s car ...
The murderers dropped the bodies off at different spots
or killed them in different spots and left them ...
The murderers were in the car at some time ...
Camille was found in the car in the lake ...
“We is a good boy. He never would have hurt anybody. He had the greatest smile. Besides the white girl must have case him the n word.”
FOX News showed live, the press conference with Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods who identified the two suspects captured and the one suspect, Tahj Brewton, 17, who remains at large.
FOX News is closely covering the story but strangely does not name Tahj Brewton nor show his picture. They only state that a suspect remains at large. I would think that naming the suspect is a big part of the story and I can’t think of a reasonable explanation for why they choice to not name him.
The other thing you hear on The First 48 is: I don’ know nuffin bout nuffin.
The three ‘victims’ were part of the same robbery gang. Something happened and the ‘victims’ were shot. “No honor among thieves”, the sheriff said.
its funny how we don't know who the third victim is, at least I haven't seen it....boy or girl?...white or black?...
sheriff says they were all in the same car, all killed at the same time....
if this case was reversed in who the victims and murderers were, we'd have buyden declaring a national day of mourning ....but its just three whities, who cares, and the other people are entitled.
Then they should also ban sex change operations and abortions. You can’t be “selectively” an adult, you are either capable of making decisions and being held responsible or you are not.
we need strong families AGAIN and we need fathers to become the leaders of the family....we have had enough of soft parenting....
my father had a crow because we went to see "Gone with the Wind" in 8th grade....he thought it was too violent I guess....
parents used to have a bigger say in the lives of their kids...
Almost never even a consideration of hate crime.
Imagine if the roles were reversed. 3 white boys shot 2 black teen girls and left their bodies besides the road. I’m not making this racial…it’s obvious it already is.
Yep. Definitely knocked a few points off the sympathy meter. Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas and all that.
Anyhow, I wish police would hunt down the murderers of Allison Rice, randomly shot sitting in her car at the train tracks in Baton Rouge. Total wrong place, wrong time senseless murder.
