With Trump’s indictment I thought of a quote attributed to Admiral Yamamoto after the Pearl Harbor attack…. “ I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.” Should Trump be elected in 2024 the left has much to fear. However, if there is another stolen election in 2024 I fear there will be a revolution as violent and excessive as the French Revolution even to the point of well used gallows on the Washington Mall.

It’s pretty clear the red squad is not going to help. Bragg’s action was telegraphed for weeks. If the red squad were going to help, they would have had a national reaction plan ready to go and be announcing parts of it already. Instead, Ronna Romney McDaniel is playing hide the button with Paul Ryan and China Mitch someplace.

A subpoena for Bragg to account for use of federal funds should have been ready to issue. State AGs and state grand judies should have been primed and ready to go.

What we have instead is crickets and “Send more money to WinRed.”

“The ‘democratic’ party vanished long before 2020.”

YES!

Orwell called the Number. 1984? 1984 was the last year when the CPUSA nominated a presidential candidate, since then they endorsed the Dem Party.

And in 1984 there was a merger of the Communist Party (CPUSA) and the Dem Party. Since then it has been the #ComDem Party.

I think the churches have gone Woke too. And the ones that haven't gone Woke are filled with people who don't want to rock the boat.

For starters, the woke "churches" (I'm using that term loosely) are hemorrhaging members. People are either leaving those churches and joining Bible believing churches, or, in the case of Methodists, entire local churches are leaving the denomination and joining a Bible believing denomination. There may not be a single organized Protestant church (IMHO that's a good thing, I'd rather them be split up as a kind of check-and-balance against each other). But church membership in real churches is growing. I go to a majority black church that was started by whites (the overseers) in a low income black area to give blacks an alternative to the race-bating black churches they were attending. Many of us travel across town to attend this church, including middle-income blacks who've been Christians for years and looking for a church in need where they can make a difference. My pastor is black as are most of the staff. And we all love Jesus and hate the race-bating the Dims do. It's in a low income area and is growing, so every now and then one of the new members of our church is still full of Dim lies about race. Before I have a chance to respond there's always at least one of my black pals who interjects and shouts him down, saying our church has no place for that kind of racial hate. This happens a lot on Saturdays when we go out into the community. Now the locals who've been in the church a while are the ones to shout down the race baiters, even though they live in the area and know the people they're shouting down while they advocate loving everybody, including whites.

In the political race riots of 2020 many people came to me and told me, "George Floyd ain't my hero. Jesus is." I wish I had a dollar for every person in church who told me they no longer believe the race baiting lies they see in politics. Our pastor every now and then talks about being pro-life and not giving in to the teachings of bitterness on the news or sexual promiscuity. Though he doesn't mention that stuff often because the focus is on sticking to Jesus and loving people and living holy lives in general. And our church is growing. We had 1,126 people come to Christ last year. My financial small group now has less people asking how to lie on forms for the government handouts, and more people seeking wisdom in sound financial habits for them and their families.

Wow. I would love to find a church like yours.

And, frankly, I love black preachers who love the Lord. They aren't afraid to tell the truth for fear of offending the congregation (like many lukewarm white preachers).

You have given me an idea...to look for such a church in my area. THX!

As an aside, my church (the church I grew up in but have just about given up on) just voted to disaffiliate from the United Methodists. Even after the vote, the members who are leaving are regretting it because they didn't want to hurt the feelings of the Liberals. I think they see it more as a community club than a real church (i.e., a portal to God and Heaven).

A lot of the members are so sympathetic with people who have gay family members that they almost voted with the Liberals (even though they realize it is sinful).

I recently told a friend that by not telling gay people the Truth, they might be responsible for helping them on their way to hell. He looked at me like I just shot his dog.

“The ‘democratic’ party vanished long before 2020.

The democrats are now close to being a bully tyrannical communist party. You can’t distinguish the democrats from the communists of 50-60 years ago.

Communism does not tolerate different opinions. Democrats do not tolerate different opinions. Communists arrest those that don’t comply with their ways; democrats are exactly the same. Communism indoctrinates kids from k-12 and in colleges/universities. Democrats have been doing the same for over 60 years. Communists have control of the media, thereby making their media companies state-owned/state-controlled. Democrats want the same with American media companies and have succeeded to a large extent with that. Democrats want government control of the economy, just like it is under communism.

IN fact, as we can see now, the democrat party is progressive 100%, and progressive is just another word for communism. Democrats are full communist now. No difference whatsoever.

Fortunately, the U.S. still has opposition against communism, or against the democrat party. There is still hope for the U.S.

Communism, aka: the democrat party, needs to be stopped!”

Great post deserves a repost! Very sobering FACTS from yourself and VFD.

In my opinion, the Methodist churches that have left the hedonist United Methodist conference are ripe for church growth and making a difference. I used to be in a UM church before I learned part of my donations went to abortion lobbyists. I tried to convince my pastor and the elders that we should quit doing that. The pastor was too close to retirement to make waves (UM pastors get a pension, what Dave Ramsey calls golden handcuffs). And too many of the older women in our local church were Dim loyalists. So they convinced the pastor to kick me out of volunteering with the kids (both leading elementary age children's church and volunteering with youth Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings). Oh, well. Church ain't meant to be a spectator sport where you just go and watch. It's meant for members to volunteer and make a difference in. That's why I left that church and joined my current church more than a decade ago.

Yet, months ago that local Methodist church left the hedonist UM conference and joined the Bible believing Methodists. My neighbor, who still goes to that church, said I'd be encouraged by the church's future -- the older people were the main voices for staying with the hedonists and the young adults were the ones saying they were looking for real Christianity and were going to leave if the local church stayed with the UM. Pride is a sin, so I'm very sinful -- because I'm very proud of the young adults I remember as young and cute kids and teenagers.

Never ever doubt God's ability to use you. I wish I had a dollar for every time I questioned why I was going into the projects on Wednesday to pick up poor black kids to bring to youth services (back when I was in a mostly white Assembly of God church) and being called cracker and such. Every time I was ready to toss the van key to the youth pastor and tell him to find someone else, one of the teenagers would be down at the alter giving it up for Jesus. Then I married and switched to the Methodist church, telling myself the same thing, that there's no point boring the kids in Sunday school or youth group because they don't seem to pay attention anyway. Yet every now and then one of the teenagers would say he or she made a decision not to go along with worldly friends because of something said in Sunday school or in children's church years before. Or the time a seminary student came back and visited his old youth group between semesters, hugged me in front of others, and thanked me for inspiring him to read the Bible with obsession like I do and go into the ministry to be the stability in a future youth group like I was (we had 3 different youth pastors within a 3 year period while he was in the youth, so those kids saw me, a simple volunteer who just answers Bible questions, as the continuity among those changes). Or the now worship leader of an independent church who thanked me for the 2 Sundays in his middle-school Sunday school class we discussed apologetics. I had no clue that kind of thing spoke his language. I just prepared the topics and lessons as I believed God's Spirit guided me. (Still thinking a bit Pentecostal when I was in the Methodist church. LOL) Next thing you know that sixth grader got all Jesus freak on us, started leading weekly devotions and school, and hasn't let off the gas since (now about 30 years old).

If the Lord can do that with a plain and simple Alabama boy like me, He can do that with anybody, including you.

My #1 problem with homosexual sin is the pride that comes with it. For whatever reason, our worldly culture isn't usually proud about other sins (at least not to the level they are with homosexuality).

In other words, I can very much respect someone who admits to homosexual sin and asks for prayer to fight it. Just like I can respect someone tempted with other sins and asking for help to fight it. (I do the same for my sin, particularly pride with is way to tempting among us programmers who are often prideful about our intellect.) But it's very, very rare you hear it like that about homosexuality. Homosexuality is now really an extension of the old hedonism religion of the ancient Greeks and Romans, but alive and well in modern times.

Would the French have had a revolution if the poorest French peasants were the most likely to be obese and the general citizenry were the fattest, most comfortable and passively entertained people in history?

Guillotines were shown to work, unlike any form of collectivism. Cost effective and long lasting. Even have a zero carbon footprint.

VDH’s third option (the good one) is not even possible any longer - with our perverted, controlled, totalitarian election “system” only fascist victory is possible. Two out of three are descent into police state madness and the third would take -Literally- a miracle from God to come to pass.

(And personally, I believe God has His hooks in America’s jaw and is dragging it to its destruction, so I’m not holding out any hope for a miracle in the opposite direction.)

“They want fiscal sobriety”

No they don’t. Most people don’t know what fiscal sobriety is, just look at their credit card bills. They want the good that comes from fiscal sobriety, but they want to free money and goodies too and immediate gratification trumps long term rewards.

I am probably giving the Dems too much credit for subtlety, but I suspect they have conducted polling that gives them to believe that many people are too weak to tolerate conflict, even when others are doing the heavy lifting. The Dem strategy is to constantly go after Trump so that the weakness-minded voters throw him out to have “calm and normalcy” again, ignoring that the price for this is surrender. The fact that it is the Dems pushing radical policies, censoring free speech, using the government apparatus against the public, etc. does not seem to matter — they blame Trump for standing up to them.

Ping! Out to the Victor Davis Hanson list

I missed pinging this post a few days ago. However this essay has been quoted by other writers, and here is a ping to the original VDH article.

Still, to thoroughly erase America, our Jacobins must radically alter our customs and traditions.

So under the cover of the COVID quarantines, Election Day was made irrelevant. In the new America, 70 percent did not vote on the designated day but, fueled by third-party vote harvesting and relaxation of audits of non-Election-Day ballots, extended the vote over a period of several weeks.

Like the Jacobins, names and dates had to be radically transformed. 1619, not 1776, is now America’s birthdate and, we are told, it was an ignominious one.

Statues are toppled, careers Trotskyized.

Biological males suddenly have hijacked women’s sports—destroying five decades of women’s hard-won efforts to achieve equal treatment and respect in athletics.

What triggered the collective madness and this Jacobin takeover?

I think Bragg wants to destroy Trump completely...not propel him to the nomination by generating empathy for him.

Either way, it would be a win for the left, but 1) Bragg doesn't have enough to destroy Trump on his own, and 2) the Democrats need Trump to be the enemy so that they can rally their voters and win the election. More than half the country won't vote for Trump, and if he's not on the ballot, they may not show up to vote.

The third is that New York prosecutor Alan Bragg has jumped the shark.

His pathetic prosecution is so patently incoherent, illiberal, and in spirit anti-American, that two-thirds of the country will soon conclude the center is not holding. The Jacobins’ reign of terror is unsustainable. And so in 2024 the Left will not be defeated, but so defeated so that it is utterly discredited.

The choice is ours.

Indeed it is. But do enough Americans care?
