The moral of the story is to endeavor to get your rocks in a non-stupid way.

Yup...a few days later that talentless punk,Howard Stern (who was a DC DJ at the time),called Air Florida...while on the air...and asked them how much a ticket from Dulles to the 14th Street Bridge cost.

Both from choking,,,"if" I had not been there....I'm not sure if they would have lived.

I've literally saved many, many patients as a Resp. Therapist.

I could tell you many, many stories.

If you have no one relying on you in life (wife, kids, elderly parents, etc.) then serve yourself with pride.

I was raised around cattle and horses, and at 19 decided to ride a bull at a rodeo. My dad said all of the rodeo events have a connection with actual working with cattle and horsemanship, except one: bull riding. That just gladiator stuff.

After that (very short) ride, and running from the beast, I realized 2 things: Dad was right, and that I didn’t want to go through life with permanent injuries just because I needed to feel I was doing something not many people dare to do.

I’ve been able to run and play with my kids and grandkids. I would hated myself if I wrecked any chance to do that because of needing to get some thrill from danger.

May the woman RIP.

That’s a very good question to ponder. Even some couch potatoes can do it to an extent.

Thanks! I am old now...but I know when a patient is going bad.

I've seen too much death and suffering.

I could tell you stories..that would make you cry and laugh.
