I have a Keltec Sub2000 9mm. It's the cheapest 9mm in the safe. I really prefer my Ruger PC Carbine 9mm and CMMG AR pattern 9mm to the Sub2000. It's fine to toss in a backpack and launches 9mm just fine.
It's clumsy. If you're just doing a quick clean after use, you can pull a bore snake through with some CLP and color it done. If breaking down for a full clean, it is a real pain in the butt to fully strip down and re-assemble. It is almost as annoying as the Walther 380 with the long, snaky recoil spring. I have to reassemble those with a 17 caliber cleaning rod to collect and hold the spring before locking it back into the frame.
One of my favorite guns. It fits in the seat pocket of my truck, I can run a 33 round mag and suppressor on it. It’s basically a Glock 17 with a real long barrel. Every time I squeeze the trigger, it goes boom. Never had a jam and I usually run subsonic. I am accurate from 125 yards. Thanks to MCARBO Brotherhood for the upgrades. It’s a badass utility gun.

I checked out the KelTec Sub at a show Saturday here and close to 500 bucks on the tag !
I agree it would be a good choice in a backpack as proved by the psycho last week.
