Rep. Thomas Massie has come out of against Donald Trump
twitter ^ | April 3 | Rep. Massie

@RepThomasMassie

Trump endorsed swamp creature Paul Ryan for Speaker, which turned out to be a huge mistake. No Wall, No Obamacare repeal, No pro-2A. I was the only member of the GOP to vote against Paul Ryan, but there was no chance to defeat him once Trump endorsed him.

Perhaps not surprising after Trump wanted him thrown out the party however I wish Massie could see the bigger picture.

A commenter points out to him that Paul Ryan supports DeSantis.

I was the only member of the GOP to vote against Paul Ryan ...

This sums up Massie's career in one sentence.

He's always one of 1-10 "principled conservatives" who votes on the losing side of a House bill where he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning.

Were the opposition to match tit-for-tat these Democratic means, then the republic would not survive.

Massie criticized Trump by pointing out a fact. I don't know that this means he has "come out against" Trump. What's the context for Massie's tweet?

Come out against. Does that mean Trump shouldn’t run or that he supports DeSantis? I don’t see it here. Headline suggests he’s a never-trumped.

I apologize it does not seem like an endorsement of anyone but really what is the alternative?

He needs to see the bigger picture was my point...

Trump wanted him thrown out for opposing lieing ryan omnibus plan. Another stupid move on Trumps part after Trump let Ryan pull his pants down on the world stage by saying we need to repeal obamacare to see how much money we will have to cut taxes then, ryan said, he would pass funding for the wall, which he did, knowing full darn well it wouldnt get past the senate, so while everyone is laughing at trump’s dingaling, trump is pontificating he got a deal to get his wall cause he was to stupid to know it also had to pass the senate. I know Massie is a goof, but he and Rand are right more often than not.

Seems more like a thrashing of Paul Ryan than anything.

No Wall, No Obamacare repeal

Part of a wall he fought tooth and nail against BOTH parties to get

John McCain sunk obamacare repeal and there was barely a repub majority because of RINOs

As for Paul Ryan. Trump thought he could do Art of the Deal in DC. Unfortunately, there is nothing even like ‘honor amongst thieves’ with DC scumbags

.
They know what the alternative to Trump is if they Dems are successful.

Gee, do you think Schiff, Schumer, and Maxine Watters will have a blueprint?

And the Republican Leadership had committed and pledged not to Impeach Joe Biden. Latest news is Joe’s sister got $12.5 Million for one deal

.

Massie is one of the good guys said spending two trillion dollars on COVID was wrong and the massive inflation since proves his point in opposing the spending.

I hate no one Donald Trump or Thomas Massie I support both and I support the Truth above all else.

What steaming pile of BS.

It was McCain and the RINOs in the Senate that killed an Obamacare repeal. Trump fought hard to repeal it. It only had a chance .

Trump got 700 miles of the wall built despite the fact establishment Republicans blocked funding for it repeatedly. He got creative and was able to use military funds to do so>

No one should trust Massey after putting out this nonsense. He's doing the bidding of the GOP establshment whether he intended to or not.

Massie is one of the good guys said spending two trillion dollars on COVID was wrong and the massive inflation since proves his point in opposing the spending.

The problem is that he's wrong even when he's right.

In a separate Twitter post, he praised Ron DeSantis for "getting it right" on COVID even though DeSantis himself imposed lockdowns and restrictions that were as bad (or even worse) than anything we saw from Nazi governors in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, California, etc.

So it seems that Massie's official position is that it's OK for government officials to close down businesses and put people out of work without due process, but it's not OK for the government to hand out money to provide even a minimal level of compensation for them.

Don’t forget, Trump was ready to sign onto an assault weapons ban, but changed his mind because the Dems were trying to impeach him at the time..

Then, in a news conference about red flag laws, Trump said the following:

“We’re going to take the firearms first and then go to court, because that’s another system. Because a lot of times by the time you go to court ... it takes so long to go to court to get the due process procedures. I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida; he had a lot of fires [and] they saw everything. To go to court would have taken a long time, so you could do exactly what you’re saying but take the guns first, go through due process second.”
