Much has been written about a National divorce.

Much has been written in the recent past about the irreconcilable differences between the Left and the Right, and that a national divorce might be appropriate. Many have weighed in on the constitutional implications, and it could even be possible?
In my view, the Constitution has nothing to do with it. For if both sides were willing to follow the Constitution as written, this wouldn't even be an issue. They're not, so to that extent the Constitution is dead already. It certainly doesn't hold us together as a Nation. The differences are indeed irreconcilable, in my opinion.

Above is a 2020 map by county of election results. As you can see, most of the country is Red, with Blue concentrated mostly in cities run, or I should say "mismanaged" by democrats.
This is the way to split up the county that would be workable. The Blues and the Reds are clustered together.
I was responding to the poster who said any civil war would be neighbor against neighbor; I agreed with that poster.
You responded to my agreement with something about Utah being at war with itself, to which I responded that such a civil war would be a free-for-all, with Mormons and California transplants and everyone else all fighting each other.
Your response to that was that Utah and its governor would still be in charge, with the snarky postscript, “Get it?”
I said you had no idea what a civil war was.
You then said secession was not a war, but could lead to war.
I said nothing about secession. I was merely addressing what a real civil war entailed, which is – literally – neighbor vs neighbor, and sometimes even family member vs family member. Real civil wars tend to be internal: Think Rwanda.
Get it? You see, I can be snarky, too.

Get over it; that war ended long ago. We’ve moved on — sometimes for the good, and sometimes for the not so good; that’s just reality, and rather normal for such imperfect creatures as humans.
When the big economic collapse comes you will be begging for secession like a little girl.

Thanks, I always loved that quote.
I know that map. What it doesn’t account for is population density. A large red portion might have 100,000 people while a small blue dot will have a couple million. The map’s perspective is wildly skewed.
