Much has been written in the recent past about the irreconcilable differences between the Left and the Right, and that a national divorce might be appropriate. Many have weighed in on the constitutional implications, and it could even be possible?
In my view, the Constitution has nothing to do with it. For if both sides were willing to follow the Constitution as written, this wouldn't even be an issue. They're not, so to that extent the Constitution is dead already. It certainly doesn't hold us together as a Nation. The differences are indeed irreconcilable, in my opinion.

Above is a 2020 map by county of election results. As you can see, most of the country is Red, with Blue concentrated mostly in cities run, or I should say "mismanaged" by democrats.
This is the way to split up the county that would be workable. The Blues and the Reds are clustered together.
Maybe we don’t need secession, either by states or counties. What if Red States simply stated that while the Federal Gov’t is not bound to the constitution, all they try to do will be considered null & void, until constitutional principles are followed. Refusal to comply, & maybe withholding tax monies, will start a conversation about what is wrong in this nation.
Build political and combat power.
Dinner tables, to living rooms, to patios, to campfires, to county-level rendezvous. All across the nation. Red, White, and Blueprint on steroids. There would have to be a platform to pull everyone together, cross all platforms, united under a single compact.
The only other option is to enjoy the ride all the way down to the destruction of the republic.
But every conservative with a platform wants to cash in and make money, the Tea Party has shot is wad, and we like our entertainment, normalcy bias, and addictions.
So the rub is, it will never happen. Let’s enjoy the ride until the US dollar loses world reserve currency status (in the works).

No they don’t win. you can drive red county to red county coast to coast. In that sense we are contiguous. Blues counties are not.

County sherifs are elected officials in most if not all counties, and they generally have the last word regarding law enforcement.

Perhaps, but counties are more Representative, while maintaining authority, than any larger voting block.

I’m not sure counties trying to secede would have the impact that would be needed to get real change. They could be easily ignored, unless it was 90% of them in a given state. But if Red States actually started calling out the federal gov’t over unconstitutional action, it would get attention. Especially if four or five or more did it at once.

And I’m currently reading The Creature From Jekyll Island. The amount of criminal & unconstitutional stuff that’s been going on is just horrifying. I really don’t know if anything can be done to change things. Too many with power & money & they seem better able to fight US than we are to fight them.
If we had some kind of secession, the leftist faction would go with much of the rest of the nations in this world except for maybe Israel to the United Nations and call for boycotts, embargos, and even sanctions against the right leaning breakaway. We would be treated much the same way Rhodesia was in 1965 when they declared independence from Britain.

Why lead to war?
Secession is exactly what the “War for Independence” was.
There is no way the Founders would forbid it.
The so-called Civil War was states wanting to secede, but the Feds not just letting it go. Hence - war.
As was the RevWar. Which BTW was already in progress, not “following” the DOI - that was a year later.
The idea is you declare displeasure, and agree to separation. That should not have to mean war.
It would have been an interesting dilemma, if Jefferson Davis had been able to order South Carolina not to fire on Fort Sumter. Otherwise, the Federal property had been relinquished without violence. He could have then said, ‘How about us Tennesseans sit down and talk?” Such an event would not have been popular with the Manifest Destiny crowd.
There was no desire to “destroy the government”.
Secession is simply separation.
They simply wanted to separate, not “destroy” the US gov.

OK--So what do you propose? We obviously cannot win at the ballot box--they have that sewn up. What is YOUR solution?
At some point, violence IS the answer. The only question that remains, is When is that point?

The blue counties would need to trade with us to eat and for energy. Going to war with us wouldn’t solve their problem. We would ending up having all the power. They wouldn’t make it through 1 quarter without us.

Do you have a theory of freedom that allows the state to crush bolshevik revolutionary activity such as that which is sweeping over our nation?
Do you have a theory of freedom which allows you to put an end to perversion being imposed on small children?
