That’s why the Cardinals were basically the team most people followed. I always wondered why when I went through the old Newspaper archives most papers would prominently display the Cardinals on their Sports Page.

Orioles. We make the magic happen.
The early years were very fun, although we lost more than we won, baseball returned to Baltimore.
I was blessed to be able to watch Brooks, Frank, Boog, Palmer and Belanger play.

Unlikely, as this was long before inter-league play.

Grew up a Cardinals fan when in my youth I could listen to night games after their blow torch of a radio station redirected their signal toward South Alabama…
This, and the fact the that Cards were once the western-most team, account for their wide geographic fan base.

Lived in SoCal 10 years and San Francisco 20. While the Giants did good 2010-2014 those were their first championships since 1953 and then moving to SF, LAs win a couple of years ago was their first in over 30 years.
