I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. All the cool kids like it.

But yeah, it sucks.

INCREDIBLE how few people understand the meaning of that movie.

Part of the fun was going to the midnight show and the
fans would come prepared with rice to throw during the
wedding scene and everyone would wave their arms to match
the windshield wipers in another.
Sarandon and her boyfriend both slept with tim, he told
them both, “I won’t tell if you won’t tell”.

I’m pretty sure that the true meaning was a warning to conservatives to only buy 4-wheel drive vehicles and to keep them well-maintained, and never leave the house without putting on clean underwear.

It was before Issac Newton got ahold of her.

“I’m pretty sure that the true meaning was a warning to conservatives to only buy 4-wheel drive vehicles and to keep them well-maintained, and never leave the house without putting on clean underwear.”

My take was similar, although it involved staying clear of EVs and ‘manual’ trannies.

Good point, manual trannies are trouble.

I saw it with a couple of friends in high school. People threw toast at the screen. Fun time.

I saw it with a couple of friends when we were teens. One of them knew all the lines and brought the props.

Curiously, they were nice kids who never got into trouble, and they loved the movie. I was the kid who got into trouble, and I hated the move. I thought it was disgusting and stupid.

Also, interestingly, they were Democrats, whereas I was a Republican, even back then. I remember they’d complain about Reagan all the time.

Ha! I sort of like the movie, too.

It was a great pleasure to spend a day with Meat Loaf some years ago. I was working with him on his book. What a fantastic person he was. Truly.

Many of the songs in RHPS are actually quite good... Near the end, though, where, I admit, in my drinking days, I fell asleep at least once.

I have seen it many times and performed as Frank N Furter as well. Silly show, but fun.

Okay. The days of the DC Freeps may be over,

so how about a Free Republic RHPS reunion?

THAT would drive the lefties absolutely bonkers!

...And we could get JimRob to play Dr. Scott,

Laz as Rocky (or Frank?)

Morgana as - well - Columbia?

Humblegunner might make a fine Riff Raff...
