I should have added- it is NOT a scam email trying to get me to log into a fake site or something, I checked it out.
I went to the eBay official site on my own and logged in the correct way. It was a real.
I am a computer systems engineer, for a living... I know what I am doing.

I googled it and it’s not a scam. Don’t know how they singled you out specifically but it sucks to be banned.
Well, if you have logged in, are you really banned? I would think they would block your account.

Change your Ebay password. Your account might have been hijacked. Less used accounts are often the target.
Wait, it’s in the messages file on your personal Ebay page?
Having read further I see you are locked out. Since their automated Help system is based on being logged in there is nothing you can do to find out more unless you want to use a lawyer.
