In February 2020, nobody had ever heard of Fauci, even though he was ensconced in his Fed.gov mini-empire for 40 years already.

Like so many of the apparatchiks around him, Trump wrongly assumed Fauci was merely an experienced bureaucrat and “virologist” who would simply make the best decisions for the American people.

Who knew who was a lying, criminal, political, deep-state hack? Fauci needed time to reveal himself.

I knew about fauci. I was a kid in the 80s and knew about him. He was the liar behind the Gay Related Immuno Disease, I mean "AIDS is not a gay disease/anyone can get AIDS" mantra that exists to this day. He lied about AZT and literally sacrificed kids (including sacred BLACK™® kids!) in BS experiments in a kickback scheme with a drug company. He is one of the 2-3 reason the pharmaceutical companies and the government are so powerful, working together to get richer and more powerful at our expense.

Trump, once again, was too old, slow and surrounded by morons and saboteurs and family grifters to do what needed to be done. and America is in the middle of paying the FINAL price for his FAILURES. America is FINISHED. Get ready.

interesting. I seem to recall, at the introduction of the covid team members, a female WH reporter stood up and asked a "gotcha" question of Pres. Trump. Something to the effect of "Where's Dr. Fauci?" to which Pres. Trump turned to Dr.Fauci and introduced him and invited him to the lectern. And i was stunned that the reporter would ask about someone she couldn't recognize.

I can't remeber the details, and i can't find the video of that WH press event, though I do remember the gist of it.

Fauci was well known as far back as the 1980s when he was in the spotlight
“fighting the AIDS epidemic” and a darling of the media even then. He was an institution in Washington. Everyone knew who Fauci was and respected him as a minor god.

The BIG mistake Trump made IMHO was in deferring to Fauci, Birx, et al on the “virus”. They should have been two of MANY with input on the subject and there were many on the other (correct) side who called BS on the masking, vaccines, etc. Associated with this was the printing of money, which was/is a significant contributor to the devaluation of the currency we see.
