The conscripts and contract soldiers in Russia are not paid promised salaries, allowances and social benefits.
According to the calculations of the news outlet, since the beginning of March 2023, the salaries of the servicemen have been delayed or not paid at all in 52 regions of Russia and in occupied Crimea.

Just before the fall of the Soviet Union, I think I remember hearing similar complaints coming from the Soviet Troops based in East Germany and other eastern European parts and they began abandoning their stations and headed back to the USSR. Not long after that I think I remembered seeing Soviet tanks in Red Square on the news.

I went on to earn a Stem degree after my service.
Computer science, a degree most people can’t/won’t
earn was an engineer for twenty years.
I fail to understand why you need a 4 year degree to operate an aircraft like a B52, C5, or C130.

I can’t say I have actual experience, but I suspect, at least during combat in a foreign country, it is routine to not receive pay on time just due to logistical and security issues. Like mail, it likely eventually catches up to the soldier, but if it comes down to delivering bucks or bullets, it would seem bullets take priority.
But I could be wrong.
