It ain’t just Bavaria. Crepes like that are just as popular in Austria.
In Hungary they are called “Palacsinta” (cs in Hungarian is like a “ch” sound in English) and are hugely popular there. Ever heard of Cheese Blintzes served at various Jewish Delis and restaurants? Its crepes filled with a sweetened cheese like cottage cheese.
All of that stuff is delicious.
